"Hmm" Laura sighed disappointedly. She had planned to take two days off work in order to ease stress but now this. "Mark, I want you to look up at every information about The Drew Enterprise, their CEO and staff. Prepare for flight. We are leaving tomorrow. I want that report before the day runs out".
"Yes ma" Mark left.
Laura picked up her cell phone and went to surf the internet. She was free for the rest of the day after working out herself.
"Woah, lastest couples?"
She became curious as she saw that head. She tapped on it and she saw her picture and Adam's. She read out loud.
"Glamour Awards shakes netizens as these exquisite species appear on stage right at Glamour Awards. As we all know the pretty lady here I'd the one and only Laura Smith of NYC. It is said that she has never engaged herself in any relationship. Could it be that she's finally found her Mr. Right?..."
"Wow, this is despicable." Laura hissed.
At the same time, Adam read the post also and ignored it since it hasn't brought any troubles. After all rumors dies after it's span.
At about 6pm after every staff has left for their various abode, Laura was speaking to someone over the phone.
"Dad, I told you. I'm good enough on my own. Whatever you see on the net is totally wrong and be clear that I'm straight and not homo."
Her dad, Mr. Smith was a big time business tycoon who is known home and abroad for his various success. He's about to retire and his only heir is not giving him the satisfaction he'd expected from her. Mr and Mrs Smith had trouble in child bearing and sought various medical advices and expert until they had Laura in their mid. Hence the reason Mr Smith really wanted Laura to prove her ability.
"I know but I want to hold my grandchildren or do you wish to do that after we're gone?" He asked.
"Dad no one is going anywhere. Okay just take good care of your health."
"I've not heard anything about the contract with The Drew. How long is this going to take you?!" He questioned diverting the topic.
Laura wished she could hang up but she couldn't since it was her father. She had no other option but to face him.
"I'm working on it. Besides..." Laura was cut in before she could speak.
"That's what I keep hearing time and time again for the past two months. Seems like you feel you're successful enough but sorry to but your bubbles, there are good competitors out there watching your every move. If you don't act fast they'll take over NYC. Infact don't call me till you've finalized this deal." He said irritated and hung up.
"Really " she said while placing her cell on the desk.
"Ma'am, the report is ready." Mark handed her the file he was holding." Ma'am is there anything other thing so I can attend to it before I go?"
"Hmm, no. You should leave now and prepare for tomorrow."
Adam Drew. Aged 28 years. Based in LA. The CEO of The Drew Enterprise. Relationship status null. Hail from family of five. Cold and aloof.
"What the f*ck!!. Adam's the CEO of The Drew. How did I not notice?" she said.
The plane landed at LA the next day and Laura stepped out. She wanted to explore the busy part of the city. Her mind was occupied with her father and Adam until she got clearheaded but crash it was too late.
She had bumped into another car after missing the traffic light.
"Who the hell?" A man in his mid thirties came down from his car. He's obviously the chaffeur of the car which was hit by Laura as his uniform gave away his occupation
Laura came down from her car. Obviously, Laura didn't look like someone who's keen on apologizing as she was busy checking her own car damages.
The man was so stunned that he had to call his boss out of the car. A man in white came out of the car, by then some crowd had gathered as it was a small street road rather than the highway.
Laura looked up and saw the man
