"Ma'am, are we attending the after-party?" Mark asked as they moved to the underground parking lot.
"Don't you reason?! We're not attending one lame party when there's so much work to do. I wonder where you left your brain." Laura replied, slightly irritated.
She knew he was just asking in order to align with her schedule but she couldn't help but feel irritated by the question.
They soon got to her Limo and they both got in and left.

"Seems like she'd already left, sir." Jane said, after checking the parking lot Laura had park in before.
"Ok,then. Let's go." He said and got into the Limo.
"Uhm,sir. Are we headed to the after-party venue or..." Jane was cut in by Adam
"After what part. Don't get me annoyed. Get in", he said to Jane and turn to his chaffeur, "To the airport."
"Jane, I need yo to find out everything about that woman and report it on my desk first thing Monday morning." Adam instructed before attending to the files in front of him.
"Sure sir." Jane replied

"Susan, have you dropped those files for the designs at Miss Laura's office?" Mrs. Veronica asked. She's the head of the Art Department and knows very well what Laura can do.
"No, ma'am. I just came in a while ago." Susan answered shivering.
"Do you want to lose your job!? You should better get those files to her before she arrives." Mrs Veronica warned before leaving to her office.
"What's up, Susie." Stella who just came in asked Suas. who was trying to arrange the files she's suppose to deliver
"She has been sent to hell, Stella." Rex replied. "Good morning, though."
Stella walked to her desk and dropped her bag. "I pray she makes it without getting burned." Stella while looking at the departing figure of Susan in pity
"Well, you should do more of working than talking." Chole answered making Stella to jump in fright.
"Jeez, you scared the hell out of me. I didn't know you were there." Stella said in slight annoyance.
"Well, thank God you know heaven doesn't reside in you." Chloe retorted while typing on her her keyboard.
"That's okay now. You guys should go back to work." Rex said.
"Say that to the person who talks more than work." Chloe replied.
Stella who had been trying to bottle up her anger couldn't hold back any longer as she bursted out "You m*ther f*cking b*tch. What have you? Oh lemme get my hands on your face and you'd regret bulging your stup*d big mouth in matters that doesn't concern you."
"Well, it seems you guys are not busy this morning especially you Chloe. As punishment for you all including Rex, I'm adding more workload, that means you all are working overtime with me and that's period." Mrs Veronica added as they were about to grumble.
"What brings you here, Susan?" Mark asked as soon as he saw Susan coming out of the elevator.
"Hi, Mark. Is the boss in?" Stella asked in worry.
"No. She isn't. Not yet. Are you looking for her?" Mark asked.
"NO! I mean no, not really. Mrs Veronica asked me to drop this files here for her before she comes in. They are the lastest designs we've made." She said while handing them to Mark. "See you soon." She added and left immediately.
"I've sent over the report sir", Jane reported to Adam who nodded while walking into his office.
"Laura Smith ", he read out loud from the file he was holding. Aged 23 years. CEO of Laura's Place. Based in New York City. No record of exes, boyfriends or lovers. Sexuality doubted. Currently, they are about to fixed a deal with The Drew Enterprise.
"Woah, so I was about to sign a contract I don't know who the proposer is"He said in self mockery. "Jane", he called out.
Jane walked briskly in "Sir, you sent for me." "Arrange a meeting with Laura's Place. I want the boss to be in attendance or else the contract wouldn't be approved." Adam said "The meeting is to hold in two days. You can leave now."
Jane replied in affirmative and left to carry out the instruction.
"Ma'am, I got a call from The Drew Enterprise." Mark walked in.
Laura looked up in curiosity. Not like she wanted so badly to sign or make a deal with The Drew but her father threatened to give his company to charity if she doesn't prove her self worthy of inheritance by making a deal with The Drew. She was so pissed after hearing that. Now that she finally agreed to let go of her ego, the CEO of The Drew has not signed the contract.
"What news did they bring?" she asked
"We are to fly over to Los Angeles for the meeting holding in two days." Mark answered.
"Ok then. Prepare yourself for the meeting." Laura said while going through some documents.
"But" Mark paused, Laura looked up "You have to be in attendance. They specifically said that."
