The air conditioner was on in the restaurant, and steam billowed as the hot pot boiled, quickly raising the temperature in the private room. Gu Lanshan had been eating for a while when a thin layer of sweat appeared on the tip of her nose, making her look particularly cute. Through the mist rising from the hot pot, Sheng Shi gazed at her, his eyes slightly glazed.
Gu Lanshan pinched her chopsticks and greedily snagged a piece of bamboo shoot. She glanced at Sheng Shi as she lowered her head, only then realizing that Sheng Shi hadn't touched his chopsticks for quite some time. Holding the bamboo shoot in her mouth, she lifted her head and saw Sheng Shi staring straight at her. As she chewed on the bamboo shoot, she hesitantly asked, "Why aren't you eating?"
Sheng Shi came to his senses and smiled. Gu Lanshan had already picked up her chopsticks and grabbed a piece of beef from the side of the red tomatoes, placing it on Sheng Shi's plate.
