'Clack...'
A piece of rubble fell from the sky, struck the ground with a crisp sound, bounced once, and rolled to a stop beside someone's foot.
Fang Li raised his eyes and calmly surveyed the scene.
The entire area had been reduced to a disaster zone, nothing but ruins as far as the eye could see.
His expression was exceptionally calm.
For some reason, just looking at Fang Li like this made Fubuki feel a chill spread through her heart. She didn't dare say a word.
"You..."
Tatsumaki seemed to recognize Fang Li and muttered, "You're that One Way Rakshasa who destroyed the meteorite?"
After learning the full details of the meteorite incident from Sitch, Tatsumaki had learned about Fang Li. As for the time he defeated Sweet Mask with a single slash, she had been away on a mission in Antarctica and hadn't paid much attention to the Association's report, forgetting about it afterward.
There weren't many people in this world whom a girl as condescending as Tatsumaki could recognize at first sight.
But Fang Li didn't even look at her. He simply turned around and looked at Sylvia.
"Huff..."
Sylvia took a deep breath, steadied her ragged breathing, and gave Fang Li a smile. "You're here?"
The dazzling smile accompanying those slightly exhausted words was enough to make anyone feel a little concerned for her.
Fang Li walked over, took Sylvia's hand, and asked softly, "Are you alright?"
"I'm fine," Sylvia shook her head. "I just used up too much Prana."
Sylvia's Abilities consumed far more Prana than those of ordinary Stregas. That was the price she paid for possessing nearly omnipotent power capable of producing all kinds of Abilities.
If not for the fact that her INT had increased considerably and 'Optical' helped reduce her consumption, she might have already lost to Tatsumaki during their battle. The fact that she had only exhausted too much Prana was actually an excellent result.
After all, Tatsumaki was an existence only one step away from the Second Rank. Being able to fight such an opponent to a draw was something Sylvia could be proud of.
Tatsumaki, however, clearly didn't see it that way.
"I don't care about your Prana or whatever!" Tatsumaki shouted. "You over there, get out of my way! Otherwise, I'll take you down too!"
Fang Li continued to ignore her.
"You really went too far," Fang Li spoke to Sylvia in a reproachful tone. "I thought you were supposed to be a calm person. I never expected things to escalate to this point. I can hardly believe you're partly responsible for turning the area around us into this mess."
After all, they were in the middle of a street in A-City. Destroying part of the city to this extent was something Sylvia, as she used to be, would never have done.
It wasn't a matter of whether she had the strength for it. Unlike Fang Li, the gentle and dignified Diva was not someone who acted recklessly. She cared deeply about the circumstances and consequences of her actions, and she would never openly do something that came so close to outright criminal behavior.
What if there had still been ordinary people nearby who hadn't managed to escape? Fang Li himself wouldn't think much of it, but Sylvia would definitely be devastated.
That was why this really wasn't like her.
"I couldn't exactly stand by and let Fubuki be taken away," Sylvia said with a bitter smile. "I'll report everything to the Hero Association afterward. That should make up for it."
Before Fang Li could respond, Tatsumaki grew furious. "Don't tell me you think you've already won?!" she shouted at Sylvia. "The winner hasn't even been decided yet!"
"I..." Sylvia was about to say something.
"That's enough," Fang Li interrupted her directly. "Go stand over there for now. I'll handle this."
Tatsumaki immediately reacted, sounding deeply displeased. "You? Don't tell me you think destroying one meteorite means you can beat me? Let me tell you, I could easily send a meteorite of that size flying back into outer space!"
Fang Li still didn't respond to Tatsumaki's infuriating declaration.
"Fubuki," Fang Li turned to Fubuki and spoke indifferently. "Take good care of Sylvie."
"Me?" Fubuki froze for a moment before instinctively nodding.
"Hey!" Tatsumaki finally snapped. "Are you ignoring me?!"
She was right. Fang Li was ignoring Tatsumaki, at least, he was at this moment.
Fang Li silently watched Sylvia move away. Her quiet voice echoed in his ears.
"Don't go too far. She's still Fubuki's elder sister..."
Yes, Tatsumaki was still Fubuki's elder sister. But what did that have to do with Fang Li?
There was only one thing Fang Li cared about: venting his anger.
He stared at Sylvia's charming face, which still carried the exhaustion from her battle. Only after she had reached Fubuki's side did Fang Li slowly turn around to face Tatsumaki.
His eyes were as cold as ice. The next moment, his ice-blue Mystic Eyes suddenly surfaced.
"...!"
The instant Tatsumaki met Fang Li's gaze, her mind seemed to explode with a deafening roar, and a chill ran down her spine.
Then, Fang Li moved.
'BOOM!'
It was as though he had stomped the atmosphere itself apart as he shot forward. His speed instantly surpassed ten times the speed of sound.
'BOOM...!'
Almost immediately afterward, a shockwave swept across the path he had just crossed, surging outward like a raging tsunami and shaking everything around it. Fang Li himself seemed to have transformed into a streak of light, fragments of starlight swirling around his body.
At that instant, Fang Li unleashed his full power.
"W-What?!" Tatsumaki was stunned.
Against Fang Li's rule-breaking speed, that brief moment of surprise gave him more than enough time to act.
'Vmmm!'
His figure appeared directly in front of Tatsumaki, as though he had simply emerged from the air itself.
'Shing...!'
A chilly blade of light flashed in his hand, his speed somehow becoming even faster.
If Tatsumaki hadn't been using her psychic power to sense her surroundings, she wouldn't have had time to react at all. Once she realized what was happening, she had only one option: she poured all her psychokinesis into creating a superpower barrier around her body to protect herself.
It was Tatsumaki's usual method of defense. Beneath that superpower barrier, no one had ever managed to injure her.
Unfortunately, Tatsumaki didn't realize she had made the wrong choice.
Defense? No matter how powerful the defense was, it was meaningless before those Mystic Eyes.
The cold blade of light swept across.
'CRACK...!'
Like glass shattering, the invisible psychokinetic barrier exploded apart with ease.
'Huu...!'
A violent gust of wind erupted, the result of a devastating kick. Through the shattered fragments of the psychokinetic barrier, the lightning-fast kick tore straight through and slammed heavily into Tatsumaki's body.
'BOOM...!'
A muffled impact rang out.
