Chapter 1178 - IUD-Chapter 1173 An Extremely Twisted Desire to Protect

"Elder Sister?"

Even Sylvia was stunned when she heard Fubuki call her that.

'Elder sister?'

This girl, who didn't even look old enough to be an adult, was Fubuki's elder sister?

"In other words, this girl is the Tornado of Terror?"

No way. She definitely didn't look like an older sister. Just judging by appearances, Fubuki looked considerably older, a thought that was probably the first to cross everyone's mind.

And yet, Sylvia could still sense something off about the girl who had suddenly appeared before them. An astonishing pressure radiated from her body, and under that pressure, the faint glow surrounding her figure seemed exceptionally bright.

'Rumble…'

A violent shaking continued to reverberate through the area as though everything were trembling simply because of her arrival. The ground, the buildings, and even the cars along the roadside shook as if caught in a powerful earthquake, spreading panic and fear throughout the surroundings.

'It's almost as if everything is trembling in fear of her…'

This was the Tornado of Terror, the being regarded by the Hero Association as its ultimate weapon.

At this moment, she descended slowly from the sky like a divine spirit, her arms folded across her chest. Her eyes swept over the scene with an almost disdainful gaze.

Then Tatsumaki spoke.

"What are you doing hiding out in a place like this?"

Naturally, she was speaking to Fubuki.

"Come home with me. Right now."

It wasn't a request. It was an order. Whether Tatsumaki intended it that way or not, her tone left absolutely no room for argument.

Instead, her attitude only fueled Fubuki's desire to rebel.

"Go home? Why?" Fubuki stared intently at Tatsumaki, her expression showing both fear and anger. "I already left home. You didn't even come looking for me before, did you, Elder Sister?"

It was true that Tatsumaki hadn't stopped Fubuki when she left home. But that didn't mean Tatsumaki had stopped caring about her. Quite the opposite. Whenever anything happened to Fubuki, Tatsumaki would arrive at the scene almost immediately and destroy anything that posed a threat to her.

But that wasn't what Fubuki wanted.

Tatsumaki had always protected her, but that protectiveness was twisted. As far as Tatsumaki was concerned, anything she believed was bad for Fubuki would be completely cut out of her life, regardless of what Fubuki herself wanted.

That was why Fubuki had grown up beneath Tatsumaki's shadow. It wasn't merely because Tatsumaki's overwhelming talent had left Fubuki feeling hopeless; Tatsumaki's interference in her life had also been far too domineering, leaving Fubuki with almost no freedom of her own.

The problem was that Fubuki had no power to resist, while Tatsumaki possessed enough strength to overwhelm everything. As a result, Tatsumaki's shadow had always hung over Fubuki, making her feel as though she were trapped inside a cage. She might have appeared free on the surface, but she could never truly live the life she wanted.

Tatsumaki, however, had never realized any of this.

No. It would be more accurate to say that she simply didn't care. In Tatsumaki's eyes, as long as something was good for Fubuki, Fubuki's own feelings didn't matter.

That was precisely what made her desire to protect Fubuki so twisted.

And that was why Tatsumaki had come.

"I know you went to Z-City before," Tatsumaki said angrily, without even thinking twice. "Have you lost your mind? You actually went and fought a meteorite? I had barely been gone for any time at all, and you were already doing something this stupid! Looks like I've been far too lenient with you!"

Only then did Fubuki understand why Tatsumaki had suddenly come looking for her. The Dragon-level disaster in Z-City had angered her.

Tatsumaki already had an extremely twisted desire to protect Fubuki. So when she learned that, while she was away, Fubuki had gone somewhere where she could have easily been killed, how could she possibly not be angry?

"You're so weak, yet you keep doing reckless things like this!" Tatsumaki shouted at Fubuki without the slightest concern for her feelings. "Come home with me right now!"

"No!" Fubuki rejected her without hesitation. Gritting her teeth, she shouted back, "What I do has nothing to do with you, Elder Sister!"

"…Is that so?" Tatsumaki's expression remained emotionless. "Looks like I've been far too lenient with you. I thought this was just a particularly long rebellious phase and that you'd come to your senses soon enough and return home. Seems I was wrong."

The faint glow surrounding Tatsumaki's body suddenly intensified.

"In that case, I'll have to use a slightly more forceful approach. Once I take you home, I'll think carefully about how to punish you."

With that, Tatsumaki raised one hand.

'Vmmm...!'

An overwhelmingly powerful psychic force suddenly erupted, sweeping toward Fubuki like an invisible storm.

"...?!"

Fubuki's heart jolted. Gritting her teeth, she released her own psychic power, the glow around her body intensifying as well.

The two invisible forces collided in midair like enormous waves crashing into each other.

'BOOM...!'

The collision shook the air itself. But the clash lasted less than a second.

'Bang...!'

Like a wave being scattered by an even greater force, Fubuki's psychic power held out for only an instant before being completely overwhelmed and shattered with a muffled explosion.

Fubuki was stunned.

Tatsumaki, however, seemed to consider the result perfectly natural. She coldly sent another wave of psychic power forward.

'Vmmm...!'

Amid the buzzing resonance, the immensely powerful psychic force tore through space and instantly enveloped Fubuki.

Fubuki felt a terrifying force seize her body and bind her tightly.

"Ugh… ngh…!"

The light of her superpower flickered around her body as she desperately tried to resist. But it was completely useless. In the end, Fubuki could only watch helplessly as she became prey trapped inside a cage.

"Alright. Let's go home," Tatsumaki declared, as though the matter were already settled. There wasn't even the slightest reaction in her voice to Fubuki's resistance.

Unable to resist at all, Fubuki's heart sank into despair.

Then a helpless voice suddenly broke the silence.

"This is the first time I've ever been ignored to this extent. It's kind of a strange feeling…"

Those words seemed to carry a peculiar force of their own, spreading through the air like invisible ripples. The invisible psychic power filling the surroundings was instantly dispersed, vanishing without a trace.

"Huh?" Tatsumaki let out a surprised sound.

"Ah…" Fubuki also suddenly felt her entire body become lighter as the powerful psychic force binding her disappeared in an instant.

"Sorry. I may be an outsider, but I couldn't help interfering a little." Sylvia looked at Tatsumaki's surprised expression with a smile on her face, though her eyes were completely serious. "When sisters are arguing, don't you think things have gone a little too far when it gets to this point?"

Only then did Tatsumaki seem to finally notice Sylvia's presence, shifting her gaze toward her.

A gleam appeared in her green eyes.
