Sienna steps into a dark alley and waits. “They told me to meet them here now, yet they’re late.”
“I’m not late, I’ve been here the entire time.” Sienna jolts in surprise from the unexpected voice. However, she looks around and sees no one. “Confused, aren’t you? Good, that’s how it should be.” Suddenly a head pops out of the wall just beside Sienna’s head. “I’ve been watching you.”
“What the fuck?!” Sienna shouts as she jumps away. “Are you trying to give me a heart attack?”
They laugh, and soon their entire body is stepping out from a black portal in the wall. “I’m sure it’d take a lot more than a simple shock to kill you. If I wanted you dead you already would be.”
Sienna scowls at them as the portal closes up again. “As if. You wish you could take me, but you couldn’t even on my worst day. You’re just a hybrid regardless of how potent your bloodline is.”
