The hug went on a little longer than Kui was comfortable with. After a few more seconds, he gave a small cough and carefully pulled himself away, rubbing at his heated cheeks as he tried to hide his embarrassment. "T-there is an exit by land that way," he mumbled, glancing behind the huge bed.
He quickly moved toward it and pulled aside the thin gauze curtain surrounding the bed, revealing the other exit that had been hidden behind the canopy. It didn't look like a proper door at all. Instead, it resembled a large boulder embedded into the wall, with only a small silver pearl serving as its handle.
"I saw that man using it when he crawled back in before his death. It leads to a mountain range, and I saw a village nearby." Kui began rambling, speaking a little too quickly as he tried to fill the awkward silence between them. "So we can probably get out from there and find people. Maybe there will be food too…"
