"What?" Kason asked, not sure if he was hearing his father correctly.
"I want to… no, I need to see my brother." Malory looked at Kason with determination. It had been a few weeks since his release and in that time, he knew that Dolus had been in a coma. Maybe it was because they were twins, but today, he felt if he didn't see him he would regret it.
"We'll go talk to Cabbot then. He has jurisdiction." Kason looked over at Misty who was joining them for breakfast wondering if she had overheard. From her expression, he felt she had.
"I'd like to join you," she told them before digging into her food. Kason sat mesmerized for a moment. Even when she ate, she was beautiful. Shaking his head to focus, he looked over to his father. He could see the worry and an edge to him that hadn't been there for days. Today, it flared back up and Kason wondered what was going through his father's mind.
