AYAN'S POV
The knights put away the gifts we had presented to Max and his family. I let Max and Teon have a chat and have their proper reunion. His children, who had also been Teon's friends, joined them as well. In the meantime, Max had asked his wife to show me around their farm to keep me company as I waited for them to catch up.
"These are potatoes," she said as we walked through the fields, pointing to the different sections of the farm. "Those are yams, and the rest of the field contains only soybeans."
I looked at the sections and noticed the soybeans looked a little strange.
"As you can see, they haven't fully formed and are frail-looking. The rain this season was inconsistent, resulting in their failure. Most of our fields just have soybeans since they were supposed to be our main money maker this season. However, as they haven't come out right, we were going to struggle making money," she explained to me slowly.
