Chapter 6 - BUTTERFLIES AT FIRST SIGHT

In her stubborn perforance, secretary Jamila was a spy planted by Jelly Spatters, leader of the vampire bat realm, assigned to terminate Monica Yen and Babara Yen.

And, since Jelly Spatters never allowed any vampire to feed on human blood, he was so insecure to trust a vampire to work as a spy in human world due to effective human blood temptations. He instead closed a deal with a poor human Jamila, least suspected to have vicious intentions.

Outside a towering skyscraper, the headquarters of YEN COOPERATIONS, a swarm of paparazzi from different media houses flocked down the main entrance, as they impatiently waited to report live the hotest news in the city about Monica Yen, CEO of YEN COOPERATIONS stepping down on her fiftieth birthday.

"Many company deligates have been wishing to take on the position....."

"Now here we're, outside the building reporting to you live..."

"Whoever is going to step in the CEO's shoe; just keep tuned, we're being to you the details..."

Reporters of different media houses reported.

As Monica was on her way out with Babara, a whisper from a security personnel landed into her ears, informing her of a swarm of paparazzi who were gathering outside. Due to her personal matters which caused her distress, she never liked to engage with them.

Immediately she ordered secretary Jamila to face the paparazzi on her behalf.

Monica Yen, together with her daughter entered an elevator direct to the building rooftop at the helipad where the helicopter readily waited.

As expected, from the elvator to the helicopter was bright sunshine which she couldn't dare to bump into. Well equipped, she delved into her fancy purple handbag and pulled out a scarf which she rolled over her head like arabs in the desert.

"Can I borrow your sunglasses sweetheart?" She asked.

Babara took off the sunglasses and passed them over to her, as she uttered inquiry statements; "For a long time I've noticed that, whenever there's sunlight you don't even want to leave the house. Is it your skin care secret?"

"You're fifty years old now and your skin is as clear as edited _ sometimes it glitters like diamonds!" Babara really had a lot of pending questions.

However, Monica Yen was a very secret woman who always kept everything about herself confidential. She never revealed her true identity to anyone, not even her closest friend, who was her daughter Babara.

As she always did, even at this moment she gave no replies to Babara's interrogative expressions.

Thoroughly well, she made sure her hands were fully socked in gloves and finally covered her eyes behind sunglasses, leaving no space for sunlight to touch her skin.

She then walked gently to meet the helicopter. Babara didn't have any better option other than following her mother to the helicopter, even after showing her a deaf ear.

"Look who's is coming...!" Media reporters and the paparazzi began to climb upstairs really quick to get an interview.

Ready for whatever, secretary Jamila stepped down the long and wide stairs at the main entrance and engaged the journalists and paparazzi who where hungry for news.

"Rumours have it that her daughter Babara has never left mansion ever since she was born _ how true is that...?"

"Is it true that Monica Yen hired private tutors to teach Babara from home instead of taking her to school like any other children.....?

From every angle, questions began to fire like gun bullets into secretary Jamila's ears. But, however annoying some questions turned up, a stubborn smile never left her cheeks.

"Is Babara an imaginary child Monica Yen is trying to create in her own imagination since she's aging without a husband....?"

CAPRICON CITY (SLUM SIDE):

On a small bed inside a ramshackled house, Kevin Moore slowly open his eye from deep sleep. Back to his senses, Kevin realised he was in a strange place and suddenly jumped off the bed.

With an anxious face, he gave a strange look at the clothes covering his body. To him clothes were an odd thing making him uncomfortable, "get off my skin..!" He grabbed the long sleeved shirt and teared it off his chest.

The pair of shorts couldn't tear off easily when he pulled them. As he was still working aggressively to get rid of them, he suddenly felt dizzy. His feet lost stamina and eventually he fell down on the floor.

In a small kitchen outside, a grown-up woman, Pinky's grandaunt, was busy blowing air from her mouth into the fire to make the medicine soup cook fast.

By the time she chocked and coughed, the soup was also ready to be served. She poured a potion into a small bowl and carefully walked with it inside house to serve the patient.

Before she entered, carefully, she took sandals off her feet by the house entrance and walked to meet the stranger kevin in a room. A magic blue fire flame was allover the room blazing out of kevin when she pushed door open.

This startled grandaunt and the soup bowl slipped out of hands. Down on the floor it fell and scattered in pieces.

As she stepped backwards to run, she stepped in poured soup and slipped down on a wet floor. In panick and fright, she crawled to flee but kept sliding back down.

Suddenly, the blue flame disappeared from Kevin's body, and the condition stabilized. It all happened when Pinky's grandaunt was eyes widely open, watching.

Finally, Kevin got up on his feet strong and sound.

Grandaunt couldn't take it any more, she fainted. As she was down on the floor pretending to be unconscious, Kevin began to take small steps forward in her direction. Partially she opened one of her eyes and to her shock, the stranger was walking towards her. Too scared, she rushed and picked a table spoon on the side which was meant to serve the poured soup earlier.

"D D Don't try to come near me!"

Stuttering scaredly, she pointed the spoon at him as a weapon.

Kevin Moore, moving his eyes eagerly around Pinky's house, this new world had totally different set ups from what he grew up seeing. As an artist, the family photos on the walls took much of his attention. He couldn't stop looking at them.

As he drew closer in grandaunt's direction, fearfully grandaunt closed her eyes and began to scream.

"Grandaunt!"

Abruptly Pinky walked into the house with a basket containing green vegetables and fish carried on her head.

"What's going on... are you alright?" Qickly she put down the basket and assisted her grandaunt to get up on her feet from the floor.

"He is a witch don't get close to him!" Anxiously grandaunt exclaimed while she panted with a sweaty face.

What are you talking about?" Pinky curiously wondered, moving her eyes on her grandaunt to the stranger, Kevin.

"Yes, I just caught him red-handed practicing witch craft... he must leave before he hurt us!"

Worriedly, grandaunt continued to spit fire on Kevin.

What makes matters worse is; Kevin was just a stranger in Pinky's family who got lucky enough to land in kind arms on his accidental arrival in Capricon city.

So, when Pinky found her grandaunt screaming down on a wet floor with scattered pieces of a broken bowl, obviously she took grandaunt's words.

"How could you be so heartless to hurt a weak woman?" Rudely, Pinky stood up and pushed Kevin so hard with double hands.

The impact of Pinky's push diverted Kevin's attention from the households he had his eyes on and turned his thick bearded face to look at her.

When his eyes met with hers in the process, Kevin felt butterflies. Stuck, at this moment he couldn't blink any further. Kevin Moore's heart got stolen, right at first sight.
