I wasn't even halfway across the club when I saw him.

Blake.

And that guy.

Too close.

Far too close.

For a moment, I froze. I thought maybe I was imagining things. Maybe the lights, the music, the chaos of people around me were distorting what I saw. But then, I looked closer. His body language said everything Blake's voice wasn't saying. He wasn't leaning into the guy. He was stiff. His shoulders drawn tight, his arms pressed awkwardly against his sides. His body was frozen, but his eyes—they were moving, darting, pleading in that confused, unfocused way that made my stomach clench.

Shit.

I knew that look. I knew Blake. Something was wrong.

Before I even processed what I was doing, I stormed forward, every muscle in my body tensing, my fists curling, my heart racing in anger and panic. I didn't think—I just reacted. The guy leaned in closer to Blake, his hand starting to reach up toward his cheek, and that was it.
