Allen met her gaze calmly, his voice smooth and low. "That's for silencing you."
Her heart dropped to her stomach. "W-What?"
"Until we decide to make it public," he said with maddening calm. "You know the truth now. Don't ruin the surprise."
Then he turned.
Just… walked off.
Like he hadn't just detonated her frontal cortex.
Azura stood there, stunned.
Completely. Utterly. Stunned.
Her fingers drifted up, brushing her lips like they didn't belong to her anymore. Her entire face was burning. Her pulse was sprinting through her veins like it owed someone rent.
He kissed her.

And then gave her a corporate-level nondisclosure request with his mouth.
