'Oh boy' Lucian said internally as he began flashing through the shadows appearing on different branches almost instantly while what looked like a shooting star or comet shot after him.
As they sped through the forest Lucian began to see motion and hear more battles in the distance, so he sped in that direction the other youth got on his trail.
Lucian sped from branch to branch seemingly teleporting as he would disappear whenever he stepped into any shaded area and reappear in the light.
The forest environment began to become slanted as the incline became more apparent.
Lucain continued in a seemingly senseless pattern appearing on one branch 30 yards ahead and disappearing only to reappear behind the other youth a few seconds later and launch an attack to distract him.
Eventually Lucian could see a small rocky clearing ahead with an opening indicating the existence of a cave.
Lucain jumped from the branch into the clearing, the other youth only 5yards behind him.
Lucian all out sprinted towards the tunnel, his body skipping large portions of space despite him only running normally. Still he only managed to keep the distance of 5yd ahead of the comet chasing him.
He jumped down into the opening on the rock falling for much longer than he inspected.
He eventually softly landed on the ground and to his surprise the other youth had not followed him into the cave.
"Maybe he wasn't as dumb as I thought." Lucian mused to himself before he began inspecting his new surroundings.
'There's got to be an easier way out this cave than all the way back up there.' Lucian thought to himself as he created a small point of light above his finger that illuminated the entirety of the cave.
He could vibrant vines with deep green leaves and beautiful flowers from red to purple.
'I guess the climb won't be too bad' Lucian said as the point of light began to float on its own next to Lucian as he jumped towards the vines and began his climb.
As he was climbing he began to feel his stomach churn and the world began to feel distant.
'Oh' Lucian thought as he jumped back off the wall his body turning into a sort of haze mist that shot out of the cave like it had been catapulted.
Lucian had felt the vine begin to wiggle in his hand as if something began snaking through the vines towards where he was.
Lucian stabilized himself on a platform of light that further illuminating the area showing a multitude of cages behind the vines. Some with skeletons in them others with live creatures.
As soon as the brighter light appeared from Lucian's display of power the live creatures in the the cages began screeching causing a terribly sharp noise to assault Lucian's ears.
This caused him to lose focus as the room became dark once more and he feel from the air before managing to land gently on the ground.
"Free us." Came from one of the cages not too far frío where Lucian was on the ground.
"What the hell is this place?" Lucian asked as he rubbed his temples trying to fight off the headache from the screech.
"We do not know, free us and we shall grant you one single wish." The voice spoke.
"T-this is kind of weird.." Lucian said as he remembered the exhibition match, he decided he would simply talk to his father about what he'd seen below in the cave.
'I guess I'll stop wasting time there's probably a little more than 11 hours left' Lucian thought to himself.
"Only 30,000 contestants remain, 11 hours and 23 minutes remain, who will be number one, Violet is in the lead with a whopping 2,573 eliminations with Sen not far behind her, buckle up everyone things are starting to get interesting!" The voice of a male announcer smoke riling up the crowd.
It was also heard throughout the match area causing Lucian's eyes to go wide, 'how the hell… I guess I need to take this a bit more seriously.' He thought to himself as he no longer held back.
His body turned into a what seemed to be a 3D shadow or a cloud of smoke before he flew up out of the cave as all the creatures in the cages began wailing about being freed.
He soon exited where he had jumped in, as he exited the sounds of battle had come into his ears again this time it sounded like many more had joined in on the fun as well.
Lucian ran through the trees to find a mob of at least 1000 youths also weaving through the trees while their weapons collided and they could be seen using a plethora of different light based abilities.
Lucian wasted no time as he unholstered his chain blade and joined the fray. He swung it with such force that it swept up the other participants 3 at a time whoever unlucky enough to be caught by the blade instantly removed from the arena and the rest so violently slammed they would be too slow on their recovery slowly wearing them out.
Lucian continued like this until the other contestants began to notice his overwhelming dominance.
After he had elinated slightly over one hundred of them he became surrounded by a group of 20.
Lucian jumped up onto a tree branch trying to throw them off, only to be met atop the branch by another fighter ready to send him to his resting room.
He jumped back to find one of the fighters behind him rushed towards him, and before he knew it he was dodging attacks left and right the occasional blow landing flush on him and him unleashing an effective counter once every blue moon.
