While the Heroes of Eden gathered together in a room, some of them enjoying genuine and heartfelt reunions while others endured encounters that were considerably less pleasant only a couple of rooms away from where the Heroes had been gathered, another private chamber had been occupied.
The room was perhaps a little larger than the others, though its greatest distinction was how lavishly it had been decorated. The furnishings were elegant, the walls beautifully illuminated, and the bed at its center looked far more suitable for a royal guest than someone who had merely been given a place to wait before appearing at an important ceremony.
And yet, despite all that luxury, there was only one person inside.
A girl lay sprawled across the bed with her arms spread loosely beside her, staring blankly toward the ceiling as though she had completely forgotten that she was even surrounded by such extravagance.
