It was also commonly known as the Opening Ceremony, and although it carried an importance that could make the city of Ophirion seem to revolve around it, there was actually nothing particularly new about the tradition itself. Whenever the Holy Academy accepted a new generation of students, an Opening Ceremony would be held before the true beginning of the academic year, providing an opportunity for the newly admitted students to meet one another, become acquainted with the Academy's staff and instructors, and, perhaps most importantly, stand among those who had already walked the same halls before them.
The Holy Academy did not accept new students every year.
