Liliac Kingdom
Sitting in front of the huge symmetrical mirror, Rose stared at her reflection. Her blue eyes that seemed to show her conservative and shy nature. Her short petite figure with her dark brown hair reaching below her waist. Even with the long dress she was wearing, one could easily make out the pretty curves she had on her body. Her long eyelashes fluttered and her pale white cheeks were soft pink as her thoughts shifted back to the conversation done in the room few hours ago.
Seated on her bed with her favorite silk sheets spread on, she glanced at her parents sitting in front of her.
Her father, Simon who was one out of the three personal generals the king had was the one most doted and respected in the whole kingdom and even by the king. To his experience in the battlefield, To the numerous wars in which he lead his kingdom to the victory and how he always managed to search ways for the welfare of his kingdom people, he had given many reasons for his co-generals to be jealous of him. He had this bulky figure with muscular arms that could crush someone in fraction of second. His fierce eyes that carried a murderous glare and not to mention his resting-bitch-face were enough to pass down goosebumps on his opponents. Rose didn't seemed to share any trait with her father except for the courage he had.
Her mother, Esme on the other hand had clearly a very high shares of passing her traits to her offspring. From her facial features to her temperament, her calm and serene personality and her short petite figure, Rose resembles Esme in several ways.
After a while of awkward stares and stolen glances, Rose spoke up "Is there anything you needed my help with mom?" Esme cleared her throat twice and directed a sharp glance at Simon as if asking him to spoke up. Simon understood the glance and hurried over to explain, "Umm, R-Rose actually w-we were here t-to" Esme hissed "Would you stop stuttering?!" Esme directed a pointed glare at him.
Rose knew her father was a complete different person to her mother, but did he just stuttered?! In her whole nineteen year life, she never heard him stutter even while facing her mother's most deadliest glare's.
What's the matter? What exactly is going on?
"Dear, What are your thoughts about having someone to love for your whole life?" Her mother's kind voice rang. "But mom, dad don't I already have you two for that?" Rose asked innocently oblivious of all the commotion happening inside her parent's mind. In a convincing voice, Simon spoke, "Not like that Rose, Your mother meant to love someone intimately. We are not forcing you, If you are not ready- ahh!" Her father halted in his words after being elbowed hardly in his stomach by his little wife. She gave him a look which clearly said 'you- clearly- don't- know- what- to- speak'
Rose turned bright red after hearing their 'not- so- matured' conversation. Being under her parents wing for whole life, she never thought about such things, not like a lady from liliac kingdom was allowed to. It was just that she was foreign to those sweet as well as painful feelings called love. Worried about being viewed as impolite or too straightforward, or being called unfilial by her parents, she always did, think and speak what they told her to. Making a decision first time for herself seemed too peculiar to her.
"Mom Dad Till now in my life you two have always decided what should I do and whatnot, and never once I regretted following your words. Maybe Marriage is a life decision, but I still trust you both for it. I believe you will always choose the right for me." Hearing her words, Overwhelmed her parents hearts.
Looking at their beautiful and grown-up daughter they felt a pain in their hearts. Her mother internally gasped, she couldn't bear to part with her child. They'll have her married when she'll be a little more older. She's too young to be wedded now. She can't even make her own decisions. As if listening to her thoughts, Simon frowned but quickly put on a wide smile seeing her little sweetheart giving him 'do- you- want- to- fight- on- this- look'
Reaching her hands out Esme caressed her daughter's hair, planting a kiss on the top of her head she spoke "Oh my dear, You are too filial, you should start making your own choices. Always remember, no matter what decision you take, mama and your dad will always support you."
Without another word, both her parents exited the room.
End of flashback
Now when she thought about it, it was not so bad after all. Seeing how her hard-hearted father always melt away and act soft and cuddly with her mother, this love thing must be something to have such effect. She thought about all the possible ways her future husband would be.
Would he be bluff and muscular like her father but soft in heart just for her?
Would he bully her or be bullied by her just like her father?!
Or would he be a outspoken and rude person just like most of the men population in her kingdom?!!
Or would she found a tsundere?!
She never thought about her idol husband, she mean it when she told her parents to look for her partner. Still, in a corner of her heart she always wanted to know more about Him, about why people said those horrible things about him, about how they were so oblivious to the real motive behind his actions.
A few days later
In The Courtroom Of Liliac Kingdom
"Our neighboring kingdom, Wasum has flared a war since a few days and we are limiting on our military supply Your Majesty. We have to seek military assistance soon or we may not be able to handle the aftermath of this war" spoke the king's second personal general, David in a hurried and panicked tone. "I think we may look up to get help from the Roosevolt Kingdom" spoke king's third general, Amber with a sly look.
Everyone present there stared at him as if he had grown two horns. "General Amber are you even hearing yourself? Roosevolt kingdom never helped anyone ever since their crown prince has ascended the throne. What makes us an exception?" David scoffed. "We sure could be an exception, General David. Did you forgot late King Odin owed us a favor?" said General Amber with a calm expression. The King raised his eyebrows slightly, Asking the King of Roosevolt kingdom to pay back them favor could result both in peace and war, However taking in the temperament of young king the chances seemed the latter.
Sensing their thoughts, General Amber spoke in his slow hypnotic voice, "We all know there's no point in talking to Dark Lord as he doesn't really believes in talks, But the father of the dark lord, King Alexander still holds some power in the Kingdom. he hasn't descended the throne completely and if we could set up a meet with him-" Some gasps of admiration were earned by General on his 'oh- so- great' idea. The king too smiled admirably, "General Amber. The idea is well thought. Let's implement on it. Set up a meet with King Alexander, soon as possible"
"As you say Your Majesty!" bowed the General, who was quick to hide the evil smirk with a polite smile.
