Rex looked at the Shadow Queen after the second move. This was something totally bizarre for Rex. He had to get a toe sucked on while playing an instrument or fight a deadly battle the best Royal Knight of the strongest world.
He had his big toe sucked on while imagining playing a piano. It worked for the pass but it was too scary.
They rolled for the third move. Enjoy a night of peace while being surrounded by enemies or fight the enemies of unknown origin.
Rex felt that even this was too much. Suddenly they could feel millions upon millions of eyes locked unto them. Rex was for sure that he would never play a board game ever again.
All of a sudden, the Shadow Queen whispered into Rex's ear what she had to do in order to not to fight. Rex did not like it one bit.
"We fight." Rex announced.
Ugly looking humanoids rushed in front the front. Rex unleased just one punch and the Shockwave from it destroyed those enemies completely.
Ten more humanoids came from the ceiling. Rex unleased another massive punch. This time the entire roof and everyone there was sent to their deaths.
The next to come was strange looking bugs. There teeth massive fangs that could sink into the depths of everything. For Rex, a fireball was all that was needed for each of them. He would release it and it would explode in one of their mouths killing it instantly.
Even still there were thousands upon thousands of all of them. Rex concretated all of his Qi into a single point and released an Ancient Demon Technique called Fire Explosion Wave.
No matter where an ember touched, thousands upon thousands of explosions happened all at once. The house is now nothing but ashes and dirt. The millions of eyes all now down to one pair.
They watched as the pair got in close from the depths of the explosions. Rex too tired to move but got help from the Shadow Queen. The duo slowly began a slow trek towards an ocean. The Shadow Queen would rather take a chance there than beside whatever survived against millions of explosions.
As she neared the beach, she froze because webs that looked almost identical to the ones that were in the room when the humanoid spider was there littered the entire beach.
Millions of fish, birds, and other creatures were completely eaten their remains were dusty bones.
The Shadow Queen made sure that Rex was on the other side of her while she took the side closest to the webs.
The duo continued their trek away. The pair of eyes slowly catching up but still taking their time. Another clearing came up and it was the beach once again littered with webs. The duo now knew who was following them and called her out.
An evil laugh echoed throughout the area. This time it was a humanoid spider male. It looked half dead from poison already but having no damage from the explosion itself.
Rex could think of two ways to win immediately. First he had to get the spider humanoid airborne and just launch him into the sea and hope that something out there will eat him. Second, blow his head off one way or another.
While the likely chance of him going airborne is small. The chances of actually killing the humanoid spider was lower.
The humanoid spider laughed as it had surrounded its prey and ready to eat them to cure it poisoned state.
He jumped trying to surround them with even more webs. Rex began launching more fireballs. He kept the humanoid spider unable to see that it was now over the ocean.
He transformed when he finally felt the explosions stop. When he looked down, terror filled his eyes as a massive terror came up from below.
Rex and the Shadow Queen watched as the entire beach length got swallowed up by whatever beast this was that was angered by the explosions.
A massive clap that sounded like lightning struck something was heard. This was the beast eating the humanoid spider.
It disappeared back into the depths just like it had suddenly appeared. Across from them, the humanoid spider female smiled as she had finally gotten rid of a nuisance that had long since needed to die.
The duo suddenly found themselves back in the room. The humanoid spider female moved their piece two spots. She nodded in thanks and disappeared once again.
The duo were mentally and physically exhausted. A card was flipped over and each of them read it.
"Take a rest for moving two spots."
The duo felt their eyes closing. Another card was underneath. Rex mustered the strength to read it before falling asleep.
"Thank you both for killing that man who has terrorized the beach and the game for thousands of years without any luck. I used a special power to ensure that the two of you get to rest.
Now enjoy your sleep,
Your friendly neighbor destroyer of love."
Rex fell asleep. The humanoid spider looked at them. She was surprised that Rex had mustered the strength to read the card. She injected him with a poison that would increase his Qi regeneration to the point that he could continuously launch those Fire Explosion Wave till the day he dies and never once feel tired.
As the humanoid spider turned to the Shadow Queen. She knew that she had a curse placed on her. She used a special tonic to help weaken the curse.
This was all that she could do to help until it was truly time for them to see her home which was thousands of times more massive and deadly than what the duo had just experienced.
She could not mess with the game pieces but she could make it where the game does not come to her home and force them to make the ultimate decision in front of her.
