On the table with the cards. The maids all tried to flip cards to win but this time to no avail. Their expressions all but curious as to how the creature was able to pull this off twice in a row.
They even thought that maybe the cards had not been shuffled good allowing it to get a lucky pull.
They asked for another set of cards but decided to pull out all of the cards for a deck instead. Here the deck got separated into different piles and shuffled by themselves and split and shuffled again.
They ensured that all of the high ranked cards were separated. They did not want another repeat.
Each player was dealt eight cards. The lizard looked at his opening hand. Seeing that it had one invasion, the SK, SQ, SA, and all twenty numbered cards.
It felt that this was just pure luck or someone trying to give him ultimate wins. What the lizard did not know was that instead of two invasions in the smaller deck, there were eight invasions in the full deck. Two SK, Two SQ, and five SA along with three twenty numbered cards.
The lizard flipped off the top another invasion. He went and got the top ten cards revealing another invasion, another SQ, two SA, and low numbered cards.
The poor lizard had to pull off another invasion after the first. He pulled the top ten cards revealing the last five invasions. Even now the maids were looking at their hands unable to clarify how the lizard seemed so lucky and pulled the invasions off like.
Instead of finishing the round, the maids got two of the Royal Knights. They watched as they shuffled another 400 card deck.
When the cards were being dealt, nothing had triggered the Royal Knights. They were certain that either some kind of play was happening or the lizard's luck was simply that high.
When the last of the cards got dealt. The lizard was able to go first this time unlike last time. The lizard looked at his hand.
All twenty numbered cards. This seemed to make the lizard want to pull some kind of miracle off the top.
The lizard did. He pulled an invasion. Everyone looked to the two Royal Knights. They shook their heads. They had not felt anything.
The top ten were pulled. All of the invasions back to back. This brought the upsetting nature out of the maids. Thankfully, one had a SK. She was not as mad as the others but still pretty mad.
All eight of the invasions went off and brought out all of the SQ and SA along with the SA's poisoned 20. One SK was pulled in the last of the invasions. Everything else seemed to either be extremely high numbered cards or simply bring nothing but twos.
The Royal Knights watched all of the invasions go off. They were certain that no mere creature would be this good in a game. They had not felt anything from the creature.
The Royal Knights could only rely on the Shadow Queen and Rex to see if the creature was indeed cheating.
Rex got asked to watch the lizard play. He watched the game and did not feel anything off with the lizard. He asked to play.
The maids agreed. He got to sit in one of the maids' chair and she helped him play the game.
However, Rex was before the lizard in this game. He pulled off the massive invasions altogether.
Even he was shocked and everyone knew that he had not used any Qi or Magic to pull this off. What they did not know was that Rex felt the cards shuffle when he wanted to pull off the top.
He knew how the lizard was able to be so lucky. Yet, he had to see it if he went first. Rex did not ask for everyone to be dealt hands. He did want a shuffle.
He said a SK would be on the top. Sure enough, a SK was indeed on the top. Everyone was certain that they had shuffled good and no Qi or Magic was placed on the cards.
Rex said that an invasion card would be pulled next. Sure enough, that was what was pulled.
Rex named ten numbered cards only one of decent value. Yet, this time he did not get it but got all of the other invasions instead.
Rex explained that the cards are responding to him being a Demon King and him being a Demon King creature.
The reason why the numbered cards did not come out was that they were not willing to be drawn because he needed to be able to win.
This still did not make any sense to the maids or Royal Knights. It then seemed like the cards had a mind of their own.
Rex did something so stupid that no one would even believe it to happen. He put all of the invasion cards on the utter bottom of the deck and revealed all of them to ensure that they were all on the bottom.
When he flipped the top card, it was an invasion. There were no tricks being played. It was truly as if the cards had a mind of their own.
Everyone looked at each other in sheer confusion as to why the invasion cards were always being flipped.
They pulled them out and watched the cards. As if Magic was indeed being done, the top card of the deck was one of the invasions and a low number card was placed in the slot of the invasion.
The maids became furious as they had lost to the cards actually trying to give the demons the win.
The Royal Knights now could see what was indeed happening. The cards are infused with so little magic that once a demon, someone, or something that is not a Shadow Person pulls a card. It changes to help that person win. They had to explain this to the other maids.
