All three of his teammates left, knowing that whatever the Hokage wanted with Naruto it would take a while and they wanted no part of it.
"What is you wish to speak to me about Hokage-sama? I have already given my account for what happened on the mission. Is this perhaps an unrelated matter?"
Minato sighed. He really wished that Naruto would go back to calling him tou-san or at least acknowledging that they were still family. He looked up at his son and quickly analyzed the ravenette's appearance once again, he just couldn't get used to it.
'Naruto doesn't even look like my son anymore. He refuses to wear clothes, he dyed his hair over three years ago and hasn't changed it back yet. I miss seeing that blonde hair on him. And all of those tattoos! Kushina and I would never approve of those! I mean look at that huge one on his back!...I just want my son back...I just...want to go back to being family again.'
"Naruto...why didn't you tell me or anyone else that you had the sharingan?"
This question surprised Naruto. Not because he was surprised, no the whole reason he used it against Obito was to let people know that he had it so they wouldn't ask too many questions later on. He was surprised because he could have asked this months ago. Naruto knew that this wasn't all Minato wanted to talk about.
Naruto opened his right eye revealing a crimson, three-tomoe sharingan.
"I was not a shinobi under you until recently Hokage-sama. Therefore I had no obligation to tell you. Also Mikoto and Satsuki did know about it, but revealing such information to the entire village is unwise, as you know." Naruto replied emotionlessly.
"How long?...How long have you been keeping this a secret?" Minato was trying to hide his frustration of his own son keeping so many secrets from him.
Naruto thought for a minute, seeing no reason to try to keep this a secret when he already knew of it, "Well over three years."
Minato went wide-eyed. He expected for him to have had it transplanted just before he became a genin.
'He's been hiding that eye from us for that long? Does he really trust us so little? I have to fix things I can't leave them the way they are. If I don't things may never go back to being how they used to be.' Minato was hurt at what his son had done.
Just as the Hokage was about to speak once more, but the wooded doors to his office swung open. Both of the occupants of the room looked over to the door to see who had interrupted them, though Naruto didn't really care he just wanted to leave before Minato could give his forgiveness speech. He took back his thoughts as he saw just who it was.
Walking through the doors into the middle Hokage Office were some of the people Naruto wanted to see least. There stood the six members of Team 7 and immediately Naruto knew that this was going to be a much bigger pain in the ass than he thought as they ass stood there staring at his lone sharingan eye.
Naruto sighed, 'It wasn't going to be much of a secret for long anyways. I actually planned to reveal my eye along with most of my power during the chunin exams. I'm pretty sure that Obito sensei would enlist us in the upcoming one with how much we've improved. They don't know that its Shisui's eye or that I have the mangekyo so I'm not too worried. What I want to keep a secret for now is my logia abilities and my summoning contract.'
Narumi and Natsuki looked happy to finally see their Nii-san again. They hadn't heard anything about him since all of them became genin over a month ago. They were secretly jealous of Satsuki and Hana for being on his team while they were stuck on a team with the fangirl and their more insufferable brother.
Nawaki had slimmed down considerably since he started doing real training with his team and couldn't slack off as much, but he still wore that hideous orange jumpsuit. He didn't really care about seeing his brother again, but he was curious about why he was here alone.
Sakura was not sure what to think about Naruto. She had heard great things about him from Tsunade-shisou, but back in the academy he didn't seem all that special. Hell, he barely ever showed up. Plus her Nawaki-kun was at the top of the class. He was the rookie of the year after all, and Naruto was just somewhere in the middle.
Kushina blushed at seeing her son shirtless and was ecstatic at finally seeing her son again, but then her smile dropped as she remembered those words that he said to her all those years ago. They hadn't had a real conversation since then. The only times they talked was when she used to beg him to come live at the estate again, but he refused her every attempt.
Kakashi didn't really know the young man in front of him all that well, but he had seen the interactions between him and his family and the jonin thought that Naruto should forgive his family and give them a chance.
However they all had one thing in common. They were all silent and staring in shock at the sight of Naruto with a sharingan eye.
