"Try to concentrate on the sliver of the aether. " Yvonne was instructing him to shift his conscience into the body she had provided him with to reside in the world.
"I keep trying but I can't seem to do it. Whenever I try to concentrate on the aether it just vibrates and moves towards me." It has already been an hour since he had answered all her questions.
The next part was to transfer the conscience into elven bodies. The reason they couldn't just shrink themselves and take elven form was because their bodies unconsciously disturbed the delicate mana balance of the planet. Yvonne had found out due to trial and error when a whole region got destroyed.
This was due to core and body turning the nearby mana into consumable aether. This had led the mana in her vicinity to create nuclear fusion. The light mana particles were forcefully merged into heavy aether particles which led to creation of heat and energy and created an explosion due to unstable reaction.
The mana in the area reacted to the newly formed aether and created a chain reaction which destroyed a whole continent killing its inhabitants with it and leaving it barren. This wouldn't have been a problem with native aether that was already present in the area, but her body created the problem. Yvonne had rectified her mistake and recreated the fauna and flora. But this incident had led her to never visit Ionia in her real form.
After many days of trial and error, she had created a safe method to travel through her planet and without the risk of blowing up her beloved children.
The solution was to just let some of your conscience flow into the dormant aether particle without merging it with the core and body. It was like having a third eye. It was easier said than done.
"Just keep trying to pour your own essence, think of it as when we rush. Don't you feel as if you are watching from someone else's body. It's the same here, just concentrate and you will get it." Yvonne the ever patient Goddess, kept supporting him.
After one full day he was successful in being able to use the ability, which Yvonne called clairvoyance. The next challenge was to operate the body without, dispersing the aether particle. Surprisingly it only took half an hour to control the body without any problems.
It went without saying that the elven body was very different than the Aether body, so it took many attempts to just move hands and arms. Celia had constructed a domain in space for the body to move, the domain was a huge mass of mana joined together by a thick layer of aether. There was solid ground and a blue sky with an artificial sun. There was also a small pond but it was empty of life. It allowed the elven body to move and breathe.
*Outside the domain*
"Why did you just give away that big fiend to him, Yvonne. You know how much you needed it and yet you still did it." Celia was quite pissed about Yvonne's charity to the young God.
Apparently the aether fiend that she had allowed him to feed on was quite powerful and would have certainly helped her overcome the bottleneck which allowed her to become an Elder God. When Celia had scanned his body, she had found his body to be much stronger than a newborn.
Celia knew about her charitable nature and chastised her, "You know, what that would have meant for you. You would have been free by now."
"Ceil, it's not a big deal, besides that little fiend was nothing. I could just keep hunting and one day I will become an Elder" Yvonne knew that she should have fed on the beast but she didn't. She had wanted to teach her new disciple about aether. The aether he had was laughable, without more aether abilities such as clairvoyance would not have worked. She had seen something inside the God that reminded her of the time when she was just like him.
"It is a big deal Yvonne, you know how important it is that you get away from your filthy master. It will take you decades, if not centuries to find such a beast again. How can you just give it away to this newborn who has temper tantrums every time when something doesn't go his way. Did you see how he was frothing over mention of Tavar, and you want both of them to meet? Have you gone mad, Yvonne!?" Celia didn't call her master because the latter had forbidden her from doing so.
"Celia, don't disrespect our guest." Even though her voice was leveled, her aura and intent put an end to the argument.
Celia bowed and went back to the planet.
"Yvonne! I think I got the hang of it. And it is wonderful to speak through the mouth instead of the link." As their argument concluded, she heard his excited voice reaching her. Even though his conscience was inside the body, the link was still present which now stretched to the new body. This was to ensure that he didn't lose control of his body and died.
"Look at me! I can run! Yayyyyyy!" This put a smile on her face, he was like a little child in the body of an adult. Even though the body he was inhabiting was in his early twenties, the conscience inside it was that of an infant.
Looking at this, she too decided to inhabit her mortal body. Her elven body was similar to her real body, milky white, with blonde hair but instead of violet eyes, she had ocean blue eyes. The newborn had a body with similar skin tone and hair, but instead of blue, he had steel gray eyes.
They both played around for a while. They raced each other, skipped stones on the pond and even swimmed for a bit. They both were tired after these activities and sat near the pond with feet inside the water.
The young God looked at the Goddess and for the first time, his heart skipped a beat. He felt blood rush to his head seeing the beauty unfolded besides him.
'What is this? Why does this body react so much near her, it is much more difficult to handle than my real body' He didn't know what was happening to him. Whenever he saw her, his heart beat faster, he felt alive the more he saw her, held her hand.
Not knowing the turbulent emotion ride inside his body she went to the matter at her hands, "Shall we go?"
"Y-Yes"
