Chapter 196: Madara Effect
The arrival of Madara and an unknown group of Hyuga Clan members in Konoha brought panic to the people. At first, Shinobi noticed an unknown person, but the older ones were shocked because they recognized Uchiha Madara's face.
Once they learned it was Uchiha Madara, the news even leaked to civilians. Luckily, Madara was walking with Raiken and the Hokage.
Uchiha Madara is a traitor and has tried to destroy Konoha in the past. Luckily, the First Hokage, Senju Hashirama, managed to defeat him, even civilians who didn't take part in the war know about him.
That is why it was a surprise to see Uchiha Madara, because according to records, he had died and was even cremated. Many people had seen his corpse, and now not only is he still alive, but he didn't get old at all.
When they walked into Konoha, many people became panicked, the whisper had already reached the market and residential area. By the time they reached the main road, it had reached the Uchiha residence. When Sakumo had sent runners off to call the clan leaders to the meeting hall, half the village already knew that something unusual had happened.
Before the group even reached the end of the streets, they had already arrived at the Hokage office. There is no way something this big didn't send panic to other Konoha Clan Leaders.
Uchiha Madara is still alive and is walking around the village. The Uchiha clan leader, Uchiha Hikaku, received the message, and he was surprised to learn that Madara had returned, this time, he didn't return alone. It eased him a little because Raiken was the one who had brought Madara, and Sakumo escorted him into Konoha.
He didn't hurry but composed himself first before heading with his right-hand man and elders. From the outside, his pace appeared calm as he walked to the Hokage office. The office was cramped with people, and he was forced to order his people to stay behind.
There was only the Clan Leader who had been waiting there. The moment he entered, everyone looked at Hikaku because Madara was from the Uchiha Clan, and they wondered how Hikaku would react.
But this awkward moment didn't last long, Sakumo had arrived with the guest. Although Kaguya beauty was so captivating, Madara presence stopped them, they wanted to know how this traitor returned and what that meant.
On arriving and taking his position among the clan leaders who had been gathered by Sakumo, his eyes at once went to Raiken, who was standing close to the front of the hall and had the same slow expression that he always wore, no matter how odd the situation might be. Hikaku looked at his son-in-law for a long time, then at the people standing next to and behind him, and finally turned his gaze back to Raiken.
Raiken met my gaze and nodded slightly, in that way showing that he had not done anything without a reason.
Hikaku sat down and remained silent. After all the years he had known Raiken, he was aware that if the man had taken Uchiha Madara through the gates of Konoha and was now in the Hokage's office, there was something important going on.
"This place is cramped, let's move on to the meeting hall," said Sakumo.
Everyone nodded. Sakumo walked towards the meeting hall, those who couldn't join earlier finally got a place to sit.
To ease them a little bit, Raiken sat in the middle between Madara and Kaguya. Everyone became slightly relieved due to his action, even Shikajin, who had been tense earlier, felt something eased him a bit. They knew Raiken well, and if Raiken could act like this, he had the situation under control.
Those who had spent their whole lives hearing his name only in historical terms were now seeing a man who was at his peak, not weathered by old age, and in no way diminished by the passage of time, sitting there with them.
Even after Sakumo had called for silence, the murmuring in the hall continued, which shows how great a disturbance a living Uchiha Madara caused merely by being in a room.
Raiken stood up from his seat, and everyone instantly fell silent. "Before the meeting could begin, let me introduce our guest today. The first one is Kaguya Otsutsuki, and this spiky, sharp black-haired man is Uchiha Madara."
Madara snapped his head toward him upon being introduced as the spiky black-haired one, but he didn't do anything, since he met Raiken, the man had tried to boil him with anger, and he wasn't going to fall into his trap.
Raiken continued while pointing to the other Otsutsuki member. "That one is Kazuma Otsutsuki, and the others are his guards, they are the main family of the Hyuga who were living on the moon."
Everyone in the room, except Hatake Sakumo, didn't expect the big secret they were about to learn today.
The Hyuga who was in the meeting room stared at them with wide eyes, this branch member didn't know about the moon side of the family. Only the past clan leader knew about their existence, but now the clan had been disbanded.
