Chapter 190: I Was Betrayed

Power made many things easier, although she had chakra but she was not courageous enough to stop the enemy by herself.

But after she had eaten the chakra fruit, her thoughts are being influenced by a ten tails.

With great power come great fear, she didn't need to say anything just with a use of chakra all the nations stopped their war. No other ruler, king or tyrant dared to raise their voice to her.

Rulers who had once threatened their neighbours lowered their ego before her. Armies returned home, no one there to do anything stupid under her rules.

People began calling her with many names, some are to glorify her and some makes her feel funny. Now it didn't matter any more because under her rule, the world was peaceful. At least, that was how she remembered it.

People still feared, hated, and envied one another. They simply learned to conceal those feelings whenever she was near her

Kaguya considered that an acceptable price. The chakra fruit had changed her, and her connection to the Ten-Tails had deepened that change. Feelings that had once come easily grew distant. The suffering of strangers became something she could observe without doing anything.

She remembered what compassion, empathy felt like but she didn't feel anything outside of her kin.

There is only two person who are important for her, her child Hagoromo and Hamura.

She remembered holding them when they were small enough to fit against her chest. Hagoromo had watched her with curiosity and chuckle, while Hamura fingers had curled stubbornly around hers.

They had never feared her, they loved her because she was their mother.

Even as they grew older, she could still find traces of those children in their faces. Sometimes one of them would turn towards her in a particular way, and she will feel happy just thinking about it.

....

She knew this peaceful life are not forever, her clan would come for her head and even with her son, they are too strong and Kaguya was not stupid about it.

First, she was too weak compared to Momoshiki who had more powerful eye than her and second she didn't have enough power or army to fight against them.

Kaguya never knew exactly when, but she could not persuade herself just to be calm, that they would forget this planet.

An uncompleted mission would eventually attract attention. Someone would investigate the missing harvest and discover that she had betrayed her partner.

The people of Earth knew nothing of the danger. They celebrated their peace, raised their families, and complained about many thing.

Sometimes she envied them, they could worry about tomorrow because they did not know what might descend upon them from beyond their world.

Human armies would be useless against the Otsutsuki. Their soldiers carried blades and spears, they had no knowledge of how to wield chakra. Courage would not protect them from an enemy capable of destroying them before they even understood they were under attack.

Kaguya needed something stronger. She needed an army that would obey without hesitation and continue fighting when human bodies would have failed.

The answer lay within the people she ruled, turn them into an army capable of wielding chakra.

In exchange for their sacrifice, she placed them inside beautiful dreams.

Within those dreams, they could have the things their waking lives had denied them. In real life, they were living in poor condition, body that tend to get sick and shorter life but in this new dream world, they live everyday with happiness, their stomach would become full, marry with their crush and lived to an old age.

Until their DNA were rewritten to Zetsu and become mindless soldier for her. Although it is same like killing them but they lived up until 150 years old within the dream world.

But something happened, her sons noticed.

Of course they noticed. They had inherited her chakra, but they had also inherited the curiosity that had once drawn her towards this world.

They began asked questions, when her answers failed to satisfy them, they searched for their own.

Kaguya had been angry when she discovered what they knew. Beneath that anger lay a feeling she had not wanted to acknowledge.

Fear, they had seen what she was creating, and they were looking at her differently.

She tried to make them understand. There were enemies beyond their world, the peace they treasured existed only because she possessed enough power to enforce it, and even that power might not be enough when the Otsutsuki arrived.

Her sons spoke of the people she had sacrificed, she spoke of the people she was trying to preserve.

Hagoromo and Hamura stood against her. She remembered their faces more clearly than the first attack.

Hamura and Hagoromo expression had hurt her, it even frightened her.

She had expected them to understand what she was trying to do. Failing that, she had expected time to convince them.

They had come prepared to stop her.

'You are my children, I will take your chakra back.'

She had birthed them and the chakra they wielded had come from her. She had spent years preparing for an enemy that might take them away.

Now they were using that power against her, her anger grew until she could barely hear what they were saying.

By the time she understood what they intended, their sealing technique was already closing around her.

She reached towards them. Whether she had meant to seize them, strike them, or keep them from leaving, she could no longer say.

Eventually her son succeed and she was sealed inside Six Path Prison.

.....

CENTURY LATER

Kaguya felt warmthness that she hadn't feeling for a long time. She catched someone talking near him and even the feeling of pressure lost.

"Did it succeed"

"Is she our ancestor"

Feeling annoyed with all the noise surrounded her, Kaguya snapped her eyes open.

She pushed herself upright. Her hair dragged across the floor, and the unfamiliar weight of her own body made her hesitate.

Everyone inside the room looked at her who had just woken up.

"Hello Grandma," said a red hair man.

"Grandma?" repeated Kaguya with a bit confusion.

"Yeah, you our grandma we are the descendant of Hamura and Hagoromo directly it would make you our great great grandmother," smiled the Red Hair man.

Hearing the name of Hagoromo and Hamura ignited anger on her heart, the betrayal from her own kin was not something she forgot.

But for some reason, the drive that always make her angry had gone, something was wrong with her body, her chakra.

She could feel it, but when she tried to draw upon it, a pressure tightened beneath her skin.

Her gaze dropped to the markings on her body.

"A seal," muttered Kaguya.

"Grandma, because of the condition to bring you back we need to use powerful seal, you no longer have ten tails inside your body," the red haired man explained to her again. "By the way I am Uzumaki Raiken, the descendant of Hagoromo."
