The man brought his hand up holding the knife, above his head ready to strike at me with it. I closed my eyes in fear, ready for the impact of the knife to slash through-against my flesh but it didn't come.
A very low growl was heard from behind the man that stood over me with the weapon. I looked behind him and saw a pitch black animal that stood about stomach area size. It was massive. It had gorgeous blue, crystal-like eyes that shone in the moonlight.
It was midnight black and it looked fluffy to the touch. I wanna touch it. I mind said in my subconscious as my eyes drifted to the man as his eyes were wide. It made me want to smirk at him but not right now. I was way too shocked for that.
The man brought down the knife as he held it in front of the wolf like he was gonna stab it in the stomach or something. Oh god, please don't. I gasp as the wolf growls even more at the man. Should I make a decision to run...
Maybe I should.
I thought as I slowly rose from my spot on the ground and made the choice to skedaddle out of there as quickly as possible. Hearing footsteps following behind me as I ran even faster through the forest and the trees, as they ran by me like they were running also. While I was running I heard a howling sound within the distance like it was behind me...er us. The man's pace was quicker than before as he was hot on my tail.
I looked behind my shoulder and saw the same animal from earlier. Is it gonna kill me or kill him? Oh, god. Please, someone help me.
As I was distracted by my thoughts. I was running through the forest and jumping over some roots to not fall over again and make my wound even bloodier than it already was. They had decided to jump on my small body as we both crashed to the grass and dirt ground.
I tried to scramble away as I crawled with my elbows to get away from the now Sysco that was on top of me trying to stop me from going anywhere. "No, let me go. You freaking jerk!." I shouted out with every ounce of voice that I had.
"Never! your father will pay for what he has done to me". The man yelled.
He still had the weapon in his hand as he brought it down and the knife had slashed my flesh by hitting my thigh in the process. "Ahhh!" I screamed.
Tears started streaming down my face as I had taken my knee to my chest as I slammed my foot up and kicked him in the face to get him off of me. It worked but only for a little while, as I crawled myself away again and found a tree to lean myself up against. I held my wounded leg as I winced with a little bit of more tears escaping from my eyes. My leg was oozing out a lot of blood.
That's not good..
The animal like a wolf, that I have taken more notice and read In stories, wasn't anywhere to be seen. I felt helpless. I really did think that animal would have actually eaten him right there and then. But not all stories that I have read, where characters were saved by their lovers or a creature, or something.
But those are just stories I had read years ago actually. It has been a while since I have actually read a book. But I guess all fantasies are in books and never in real life. I was so into my thoughts when the wolf came out of nowhere, lurching itself at the man as a scream was ripped right out of him.
The man cried in pain as the animal skunk its teeth into the man's flesh. My hand came up to my mouth, cupping it in pure shock as I closed my eyes to get rid of the shouts belonging to the man that was about to kill me earlier.
Which I didn't know why. I haven't got a clue why..?
Once the shouts and cries of the man died down. The wolf snapped its head towards me with bloody lips as the liquid stained his fur and face. The animal took slow steps like it was saying it's my turn, which made me back up more against the tree that I was already on. "P-please, don't h-hurt me. I b-beg of y-you."
I stumbled out with fear bringing my hands out in front of me as they trembled and shaken. The wolf tilted its head to the side making its ears fall to the side.
It came way closer than I had expected as I gulped putting my head up against the tree as I watched the animal licked my hand to tell me that it meant no harm in my presence. Good to know I guess. But I would rather be cautious about the animal.
Gosh knows what it will attack next.
My eyes began to feel heavy as I felt myself get a tad bit sleepy.
"I c-can't m-move." I whispered, trying to get up to only moan in pain and sat back down with a grunt. I looked down at my leg before the animal started howling up to the sky.
"W-what are you doing?." I said bringing my head as it tilted a bit to get a good look at the animal. Maybe if I touch him as he is quite occupied at the moment.
No harm done right?. Bringing my hand up as my eyes slowly started to close but I fought it so I could touch the animal that is now seated in front of me.
The animal howled again as I smiled as it was probably signalling to the rest of its pack to or someone to help me. But I god hoped it wasn't its pack that it was howling for help for. "No one will hear us. "We are t-to fear i-in the-forest to be heard."
I was losing far too much blood because of my wound that the men had given me earlier. Looking down at my wound as more blood oozed out non stop, as I ripped off a piece of my shirt and tied it around my wound. I winced a bit as I wrapped it around my thigh putting it into a knot and tying it up and holding it as it throbbed.
I heard footsteps a bit close as I looked up and saw another pair of blue eyes, or were they the same eyes, as my vision started to blur out. I heard muffled voices speaking in a harsh tone to each other, like they were auguring.
Huh..
"W-who are you p-people.." I murmured out collapsing against the tree as the last thing I heard was a bit of mumble.
"Eli-, what the hell happened to- her." And that was all I heard before darkness swamped into my head and I blacked out.
