When Rune returned to the outside, eliciting a startled expression from Shiro.
"Rune, you're back!" She had heard the roars and felt the power held in them. The added Rumbles coming from deep in the cavern only served to increase her worry as she was left waiting.
The puppet guardians parted to let him pass, and Rune watched as they retreated into the tunnel before sealing it up with the same crystalline substance he had gotten used to seeing in this region. He turned back to Shiro and greeted her before putting in a tense expression.
"Yeah, a lot happened. We need to get out of here first. Explanations can wait."
He quickly grabbed her wrist and pulled her along as the two of them jumped through a portal. When they came out on the other side Rune noticed that they had moved further east.
"Make the next one take use south," he said.
