Chapter 20 - The Legend Of A Fallen Angel.

The area was filled with the sounds of swords clashing, and when one looked carefully, they could see a man with snow-white hair engaged in combat with a shadow-like entity wearing heavy shadow armor.

Tenshi, who was struggling to catch his breath, finally remarked to Kargoth, "That's enough for today." On the other side, it did not seem that Kargoth was in any way impacted.

As Kargoth drew his blade back into its sheath, he said, "You are again enormously improving, my king."

Tenshi said, "But yet I wasn't close to defeating you," the fact is that he was unable to score a hit on Kargoth at any point in the fight.

Tenshi was aware that Kargoth is an expert in several weapon skills, particularly swordsmanship. Creating the most powerful Shadow fighter possible, with Aegis coming in a close second. He had an infinite supply of both stamina and mana at the moment, which is why he was able to prevail against Kargoth.

He wasn't so vain as to belittle Kargoth for being more powerful than he was, but his pride wouldn't allow him to be outclassed by Kargoth, and as a result, he continuously challenged and tested himself, striving to get better with each passing day.

Tenshi returned to his cave, removed a huge cube from his cave, and slung it over his shoulder.

Tenshi greeted the cube he discovered in the goblin encampment with the words, "Today, I will definitely solve you."

"FINALLY!" Tenshi let out a scream. And as he looked outside, he said, "It's nearly dark outside."

Tenshi has been distracted for hours by tinkering with this cube, causing him to be late for his evening session.

"Liya, I opened it!" Tenshi excitedly said to his companion.

"ROAR" A roar that was all too familiar could be heard emanating from the cave's entrance, and shortly afterward, a magnificent blue dragon with golden highlights on its scales made its way inside.

"Aww dwone," Liya said as she continued to stare at the cube.

Tenshi exclaimed as the cube was opened, "Yeah, I solved it, let's see."

The cube included a scroll, a book, and a coin, all of which were organized in an orderly fashion inside the cube.

Tenshi discovered that the items' names were written on each of them.

Simply putting the hand on theใ€Ž๐’๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ ๐๐จ๐จ๐คใ€made it instantly open. And all of a sudden, a large number of letters and words began to emerge.

Tenshi came to the realization that the book not only included new spells but also chronicled the ones he already understood.

There are three different spells, and they are Magic Missile, Fog Cloud, and Thunderwave.

Tenshi does not need these spells since he has demonic mana; hence, all he needs is imagination and mana to cast magic. The use of magic circles, on the other hand, might reduce the amount of mana produced by a spell while keeping the total amount of power produced by the spell constant or even boosting it in certain cases.

"Good, I can make use of these spells," Tenshi said. As he believed that he would find it beneficial.

Not only was it helpful for him, but it was a gift from heaven... or Hell. Even though Tenshi has a great intellect, he was having problems utilizing his imagination skills with Demonic mana. This is because using imagination powers with Demonic mana requires specialized mana management and output while keeping the exact quantity of mana that is required to utilize.

The spells in the book are the magic circle version; thus, he does not need to worry about mana management, as he could just copy the circle formation in the book. So, all he has to do is think about how much mana output he would need to spend and adapt accordingly.

Tenshi was successful in determining what the mystery object was. The random soul of a creature or a sinner was held inside the soul coin. It functions as particular money that the devils utilize, and favors made with it are created in the fourth circle of Hell, which is called Greed.

After discovering that it was ripped, Tenshi said, "Some pages are gone."

Tenshi ran his hands over the photo of Zariel, who had white wings in contrast to what he recalled seeing in Turoth's memories.

The more he read, the more he was overcome with an emotion he couldn't quite place; at the same time, he was overcome with sentiments of melancholy and longing.

'Is she connected to my last life?' Tenshi expressed curiosity.

"The sword," He couldn't help but feel a pang of melancholy as he ran his fingertips over the image of an exquisitely carved sword. He couldn't help but be taken aback by its amazing craftsmanship.

'I must get this,' Tenshi made a solemn oath to get his hands on his sword while simultaneously putting the book on his lap. He began reading everything carefully in an effort to locate any hint as to where it was hidden.

Tenshi irritably slumped back on his improvised bed, placing the book to the side and closing his eyes in an effort to get control of the inexplicable feelings he was experiencing at the time.

Tenshi felt himself being yanked back into a room full of empty space all of a sudden. Since this is where Tenshi has the visions, he was quite acquainted with this area.

As he had anticipated, the room began to shake, and he saw a vision of a gorgeous person with white hair presenting a sword to a stunning lady who was wearing a blindfold.

Tenshi was able to identify the individual because of the fact that he resembled an older version of himself.

After then, he was hauled back and brought back to his cave, which caused the feeling of melancholy to go.

"I need to grow strongerโ€ฆ quicker," Tenshi said, casting a glance across at Liya as she slept peacefully next to him.

โ€ฆ

Deathโ€ฆ There was total anarchy and devastation in every direction. There were feathers floating in the air, and the ground was covered with the corpses of individuals with wings who had died.

An angel with golden wings made the announcement while brandishing the sword and saying, "I SHALL KILL YOU, LUCIFER!"

Tenshi was deep in a dream when all of a sudden, he jolted up, and he found that his body was drenched in sweat.

โ€ฆ

Tenshi looked at the Shadow Abishai and said, "Find me more Spinagon."

Spinagons, also known as spined devils, are a more evolved form of imps; in this version, they take the form of winged, porcupine-like demons that carry messages to be delivered to other parties. They are sometimes referred to as "lesser demons," which was a piece of knowledge that he had only just heard.

In addition to being skilled message carriers, they also have a unique attack, which is one of the reasons for their success. Spinagon had the ability to shoot spines from their bodies and tails. These spines, once thrown, would explode into flames, burning anything they impacted and setting combustible things ablaze.

Even though they are helpless on their own, if they band together in sufficient numbers, they are able to demolish whole cities.

The Shadow Abishai bowed its horned head before taking flight, followed shortly afterward by two further winged imps.

Tenshi sighed and stated, "I truly miss my old cave," as he looked about at the wilderness where he now resides.

His Shadows looked everywhere, and with the exception of the Leviathan cave, they found nothing but volcanoes and wastelands wherever they went.

There is not a single drop of water anywhere in the vicinity of him. According to Ward, there is no water in Hell, and the only beings that are able to get water either magically or through the use of an item are devils.

Unfortunately, the water that Liya conjured up couldn't quench his thirst since it evaporated so quickly, whether it was left outside for a short period of time or as soon as it entered his throat.

Blood was the only thing that could satisfy his need to quench his thirst.

When he got to the location where he was going to practice his spells, he set himself up a targetโ€”a tree.

'[Magic Missile]' It seemed as if he was now holding three bright darts of mana, which then launched themselves towards the tree. The attack resulted in a dent being made in the tree.

"If I count my mana out of a hundred, it consumes nearly five points," Tenshi made a comment to himself.

This time he wavered his hand, there was no magic circle. Soon the same darts of magic appeared.

When he fired the missiles at another tree, he discovered the same outcome as before.

Tenshi said to himself once again, "15 points... but the same strength."

Tenshi came to the conclusion that the magic circle variation would be the most useful and opted to employ it. Even if the form of the magic circle that he needs can only be discovered in the wild, it will still serve him well until he has a greater command over his mana and more magic.

'[Fog Cloud]' Within his 20-foot radius, a sphere of fog was created.

'1โ€ฆ 2โ€ฆ. 10' It took ten seconds for it to disappear.

Tenshi's thoughts went, 'Okay... that took roughly 25 points.' He was aware that he could take the spell to a higher level, but he decided to save his enthusiasm for the next spell that he was going to perform.

Tenshi rubbed his hands together eagerly as he prepared to perform the next spell.

"[Thunderwave]" A wave of tumultuous energy lightning from Tenshi, pushing anything within a 15-foot cube radius away from him while also causing some scorching and electric shock.

"AWESOME!" Tenshi enthusiastically cried out loud.

Even though it cost him over half of his mana points, it seemed to be beneficial for him in the end.

Tenshi returned to the cave, where he had been before, and began swinging a massive, heavy stone sword.

Tenshi has an issue with being bored, and even after spending a significant amount of time with Liya, he is still clueless about how to alleviate his boredom in ways other than training.

"Are you ready, master?" Kargoth questioned while he held a big club that was wrapped in a thick fabric.

Tenshi gave a little nod of the head while swinging his blade.

Tenshi then let out a painful grunt as he felt the club strike his back. "Ach..." However, he continued to swing the club.

Tenshi was knocked off balance by a number of blows to the back delivered by the massive weapon, yet he never ceased swinging his hefty sword.

"Ahahaโ€ฆ Next!" Tenshi said after he had regained control of his breath.

After that, Tenshi grabbed up the blade with both of his hands and hoisted it over his head.

As soon as Kargoth saw that his master was prepared, he began hitting him on the stomach, which caused Tenshi to moan through the fabric covering his mouth.

"*Bam*... Enough! "Tenshi mumbled as he began to experience numbness in his arms and saw a darkening in his eyesight.

As exhaustion overcame him, he fumbled the hefty sword and dropped it to the ground.

"Kargoth!"Tenshi questioned as he looked at his Shadow.

"Yes my king?"

"Get ready, for we are about to take Limbo by storm!"
