Their kiss this afternoon couldn't leave his head, he'd kissed a lot of girl before but something about hers just felt unique. Perhaps it was the coldness of her lips, or her alluring scarlet pupils, Scott couldn't tell. It was was past midnight and he should be sleeping by now but he couldn't. Maybe it was the coffee he drank an hour ago, or these lingering thoughts.
Scott picked up his phone, perhaps it was time he told Eddie about this vampire, chances were he had been compelled. It wasn't like him to overthink a mere kiss, especially one with no emotions tied to it. He typed the first sentence but deleted it soon afterwards. Maybe he should wait till tomorrow, maybe it wear off. He was probably overreacting because it was his first time kissing a vampire.
He calmed himself down and focused on the books in front of him. He had a lot of catching up to do, and thinking about some strange vampire girl wasn't going to help him at all. Her memories would probably be gone by morning, he was sure. First times were always the toughest to get through, but he was sure it'll be fine in the morning.

Justin was first to wake, and he'd only woken because his head was on fire. It had been a mild migraine before he slept last night, but now it seemed like his head had been split in half. He contained the pain and proceeded to have his bath. He seemed to notice something particularly odd, and when he reached downstairs he finally confirmed it. Katherine was yet to wake, and that was probably why he couldn't smell the aroma of cooking food from his room.
It was odd that he was the first to wake, and even odder that Katherine wasn't yet up, infact he couldn't even sense her at all. She probably overslept, there was no need to panic or go to disturb her, he'll just have to prepare breakfast today.
Jade came down just moments before Eddie could finish cooking. Eddie was beginning to get a lot more suspicious of Katherine's absence, but the moment he decided to check in her room, the lady in question walked in through the front door. She looked perfectly fine, and seemed to be doing even better than the two of them.
"Where are you coming from this early?" Jade asked for both of them. She new Eddie had the same question in mind.
"Emergency meeting with the Elders, you know how it is" Katherine lied. Her words weren't entirely false, she had actually been in the care of elders all night receiving treatment. Turns out using the Hell vines wasn't a very descent idea.
"O.. okay" Jade accepted skeptically. She didn't know why but she just felt like something had happened with her mother, and the worried expression on Eddie's face confirmed that he felt same way too. But they didn't have any choice but to believe. Katherine didn't just lie without reasons, so if she was lying about her whereabouts it was probably for their best interest.
"You made breakfast?" Katherine asked as means to derail from the first topic. She didn't want to end up giving out answers she wasn't ready talk about yet. She was just happy that she had successfully carried out her mission and that her children were doing fine.
"Come on Eddie we have to go" Jade urged the still standing confused boy behind her. They didn't have time for breakfast, they were already running late.
Eddie chased after her sister with mouth stuffed with toast. Scott had messaged him earlier informing him that he wouldn't be coming over this morning. It was completely normal for Scott to go to school by himself sometimes, so Eddie wasn't really that concerned about him. His only concern now was Stewie and the possible drama he was going to cause in school.
The drama Eddie had hoped for wasn't the drama he was currently witnessing. A new girl had transferred to their school, but this girl wasn't new at all. He remembered this vampire clearly, it was definitely the girl from the carnival, and beside her was Scott smiling as if he'd found true love.
Scott took a quick glance towards his sister who hadn't displayed any emotions yet. He honestly couldn't tell if Jade's feelings for Scott were true or she was just playing along with the other girl. But he still decided to see if she was doing okay. She seemed fine to him, so he didn't have to worry about her. The person who needed worrying about was Scott. What on earth was he thinking. Eddie made to chase after his friend, but was intercepted by a bulkier figure.
"You and I have some serious matter to discuss. Meet me behind the school after classes, lateness won't be tolerated" Stewie delivered before walking away. He was the only person who wasn't enraptured in the news and talks of the new student. And he sounded threatening even though he'd been put in his place just yesterday. Eddie had nodded to the man's words just so he could leave without causing a scene.
"What's his problem?" Jade asked.
"He said we have something to talk about" Eddie replied.
"Any idea on what he wants to talk about?" Jade was curious.
"I have a pretty good guess, but I can't really be sure" Eddie could already guess it was about his transformation yesterday, and he knew Jade suspected same. He honestly didn't want to have that conversation with anybody, especially not Stewie Grant. But if he didn't comply, the bully might just go around and spread rumors about him.
The bell for class finally went off, and students began clearing away from the hallway.
"Hey are you okay?" Eddie asked his sister who seemed to appear lost.
"Yeah I'm fine" she assured with a smile before heading off to her class. Eddie arched his brows and shrugged before racing towards his own class, he had almost forgotten about Scott, the boy had serious explanining to do.
