Finally it was the day of the engagement party and Angel could not be more happy. She cant believe her father plans is finally coming to play. And most importantly all her dreams are coming to pass. She looked around and can't wait to become the Madam of the house. She's going to control and take over everything.
"Hey you, have you suddenly lost your mind? Where's the water I asked you?" Angel yelled at Thelma who was in the room with the other maids.
If she were to have it her way, she would have never come down here. But this witch demanded that she come here to help her get dressed, despite knowing she was keeping watch over the children.
"I'm sorry Miss, but you asked that I keep watch at the door and made sure no one came in here. There's no way I will be able to get you the water you asked when I'm keeping watch ma'am."Thelma snorted.
"Come over here," Angel said subtly and Thelma walked up to her reluctantly. She just wish her friend Jane was here. She heard how the boss proposed to her at the hospital. She can't understand why he's leaving Jane to marry this witch.
"How dare you to speak to me in that manner?" Angel slapped Thelma so hard her cheek instantly turned red. Thelma tried not to cry but it was impossible, as her cheek was hurting so bad.
"Who do you think you are to treat my staffs in such manner?" Grace yelled from outside the door breathing heavily. She saw her slapped Thelma and she just want to pull her hair till she can no longer breathe.
"I'm going to be the madam of the house in few weeks. It's high time I put everyone including you in their place. She was so rude to me, you are supposed to be taking my place, and not this filthy maid." Angel said panting heavily.
"Let's see if you like the taste of your own medicine." Grace said and stepped forward. With a smirk on her face and slapped Angel hard that one of her earring fell of her ear.
"Don't you ever lay your stupid bitchy hands on either of my staffs in this house. You are nobody and you never will be." Grace said and Angel stood there shocked.
"Now listen to me everyone of you, don't you ever take orders from her. You answer to me, do otherwise and you are out of here in no time." Grace ordered.
"Yes ma'am!" They all echoed in unison.
"Out everyone, I'm sure she's rich enough to hire her own maids." Grace said and ushered everyone out. Thelma was so happy, this is the best clapback she has ever seen.
Meanwhile on the other side of town, Jane paced the room nervously. She spoke to Christopher last night and he instructed her on the things to do.
"I'm sure the dress will arrive soon. There's no need to panic my darling. It's not going to do you any good." Mrs Whitney tried calming her down, but she can't help it.
"What if I mess the whole thing up? I'm not sure if I can face them Mrs Whitney." Jane complained.
"I'm sure you will do well tonight. I'm confident that you can pull this off, I'm rooting for you." Jack placed his hand on Jane's shoulder and assured her.
"Thanks a lot Jack," Jane said and hugged Jack. She can't explain it, but there seems to be some sort of closeness and bond between them both. Jack pulled her closer into an hug, he can't help but feel emotional. He just wants to hug her like this and not let her go.
"There's something we must talk about after the party today." Jack said.
"Really? You sound so serious." Jane said and pulled away from the hug.
"Well it is quite serious. I don't know how to say it to you, but all I can say this conversation is long overdue." Jack said and Jane looked a bit confused. She has not known him long enough. What exactly is he talking about.
"I'm sure you both can have your conversation later. The make up team and your dressed have arrived." Mrs Whitney said interrupting them both.
Jane looked and saw two cars and a truck drive into the villa. She felt super excited and and went outside to go welcome them.
"Are you sure you want to do this? I'm sure whatever it is can wait a little longer?" Mrs Whitney said the minute Jane walked away.
"You may not be ready to face the past for whatever reasons. But I'm ready Mrs Whitney. I've been looking for my sister for the past twenty years. I have finally found her I will not wait any longer." Jack said and walked away leaving Mrs Whitney perplexed.
This is what she has dreaded most all her life. The truth! Coming out like this, and hunting her. She just wish things will stay the way they are, but that seems to be impossible. They are others involved and this is no longer up to her.
"And just so you know. You might want to brace yourself up for tonight, it's going to be a crazy night." Jack said but Mrs Whitney didn't take it to heart. She's sure he's talking about Jane finding out the truth about her mother.
Unfortunately she has been bracing up ever since she found out Jack is Jane's brother, and children to her best friend.
Jack however was referring to her facing the Smith when she gets to the mansion. She will definitely find out her children whom she thought she would never see are just right there under her nose, not so far away.
"I think we should all get ready and dressed, we leave in few hours." Jack said and Mrs Whitney made way to her room to get all dressed and glammed up.
