She only knew that her heart was racing fiercely and felt stifled, as though bleeding along with him, ready to stop beating at any moment.

"Alexander is hurt, I'm fine, we're trapped among the rubble..." Olivia Ward shouted back, her voice tinged with a sob, yet she maintained her composure, trying to clearly express their situation to the rescue team above.
After Shirley and the others cleared the way, Alexander and Olivia were quickly visible.
