"Deputy Sheriff Ronan..."
In the sheriff's office on the third floor, also the top floor of the police station, Ford Hamill casually asked, "How have you been feeling at the station recently?"
Ronan, seated across from him, smiled and said, "Pretty good."
Pretty good.
This answer caused Chief Ford's eye to twitch slightly.
He didn't like Ronan at all! Not one bit!
The reason for his aversion was primarily because Senior Detective Clement from the Seles Central Police Bureau was Ford Hamill's long-time friend, and they had once fought side by side, forming a deep friendship.
But Clement was demoted to an ordinary officer because of Ronan, undoing decades of hard work!
Now Ronan was interning under Ford Hamill, how could he possibly show Ronan any goodwill?
Additionally, Ronan, so young, had already become a deputy sheriff. Considering Ford Hamill's own struggles to become only a sheriff, how could he maintain his composure?
