After the competition ended Ting has been training everyday, delved in his daily routine. diving himself in rew everyday without fail and he have to train building stamina running ,looking for medicinal plant in the forest and in evening he has to bath with that medicinal plants and in the night he has to meditate on top of the mountain where moon beams with greatness and gave light to the surrounding. and had to wake up in the dawn to get fresh and pure air.
sometimes he thought what he is doing and one day he asked his master about it;
" Master what am i doing this days?" Cixi replied:
'Are you worried about your daily activity mean something for your aim'
In which ting said yes and worried whether he can even gain internal energy by doing what he has been doing.
In which Cixi replied by saying to take it slowly, let nature take care of its own as rushing will not help for him.
Ting did not mention about his doubt from that day and work hard only in Rew day and night, and three months have passed and he was on the brink of reaching fourth stage and one day one of the disciple came to inform of the competition.
the disciples greet the elder (Cixi) and asked of ting presence at the gate tomorrow morning where all the participant and one of the elder will take them to the capital for the competition (pancha skiros),as it will be long journey they are to leave early.
that night when Ting was on his way to the mountain for his usual training, his master stop him and asked to follow her ,
as Ting was following her she led him to the cave where it was old and full of dust, then his master brought an old book and asked him to read it , after reading it he asked his master what this technique is ;
in which , she said its an old swordplay which has been passed down from generation to generation
it was once known as powerful but people could not grasped fully its essence and slowly it has become an forgotten swordplay;
it may look simple but everyone who tries to master this technique couldn't produced the power as it is written in the book.
you want me to learn this; Ting said,
his master told him that although she is sure that Ting will be able to compete with only Rew ,she wants to makes sure that nothing goes wrong and also she believe that he will reach the fourth stage before the competition.
agreeing to it Ting started reading the book and as he was reading he come to realize its similar to the basic sword technique which is swinging down, cut and stab but as he read further he sees the different but when he tried he too couldn't the power written in the book and in the last page it was written;
" let every swing, cut, stab have meaning and let your heart be with it, A Man without heart cannot know the meaning of holding a sword"
and in the bottom it was written ' Xin'.
