Chapter 436 - The Other Champions 13

Helena Harris POV - Godzilla: Planet of Monster Universe, Earth - Year 22,048

While traveling the Omniverse hunting down other Champions to complete the mission that Yaling gave me, I quickly realized that my Pokémon have already hit the ceiling of their power and that sooner or later I would be forced to face something or someone that I can't overcome, no matter what strategies or how many Pokémon I use.

Because of that, I started to think about how to resolve this issue, and after some time, I found the perfect solution in literally the palm of my hand, the Poké Balls I always carry with me.

At first, one would be led to think that Poké Balls can only be used to catch Pokémon, but I clearly remember that in my early days as a Trainer, when my throw missed its target, then the Poké Ball would hit some other object and still catch it, and later, I learned that the Poké Balls are made to catch anything but humans.

According to ancient legends, the first Poké Balls were created by a wise and powerful Pokémon Trainer, who sought to forge a deeper bond between humans and their Pokémon companions.

The Trainer recognised that the natural order of the world must be respected, and that humans and Pokémon were meant to coexist as partners, not as master and slave.

As such, the Trainer imbued the Poké Balls with a sacred energy that would prevent them from being used to capture humans.

Anyway, I quickly realized that I could search for and catch another creature with better potential and powers than my current team that can still be recognized as "Pokémon" by the Poké Ball, and that the affinity to Earth-aligned creatures granted by my Blessing could help me tame it.

Coming to that conclusion, I quickly went to one of the more modern universes similar to the one from my previous life and searched all over the internet for the perfect candidate, and after many months, I found what I think is the perfect solution: Godzilla, more specifically, the version known as Godzilla Earth.

Now, I am finally here as the sky burns red while the ground shakes beneath me.

At first, I thought it was an earthquake, but then came the roar.

A sound so vast that it seems to tear the air itself apart, shaking the marrow in my bones.

Finally, Godzilla Earth rises from the shattered horizon, taller than the mountains, his body a fortress of living stone and fury; his spines glow faintly, pulsing with buried fire.

Every step he takes cracks the crust beneath him, releasing gouts of steam and flame.

His eyes burn with the cold brilliance of a dying sun, and when his chest swells, I know what is coming: the breath of annihilation, the iconic weapon that had ended civilizations, the Atomic Breath.

Any ordinary person would've fled, but I am not ordinary; my hand tightened around the Poké Ball at my belt.

It sears against my palm, the heat of a volcano waiting to erupt, my absolutely strongest Pokémon, the only one who can match the creature in front of me.

I lift it high, shouting into the storm, "Groudon! I choose you! PRIMAL REVERSION!"

The world ignites as Groudon bursts forth in a storm of magma and flame, while the sun seems to shine even brighter than before thanks to Groudon's natural ability.

This is no mere Pokémon but the Earth's fury incarnate, his body glows like a living volcano, rivers of fire coursing between plates of molten stone.

His claws crack the battlefield open with every step, and when his roar erupted, the very atmosphere seemed to vibrate with power.

Against Godzilla's immensity, he does not shrink; he rises to meet him, a primordial god summoned to challenge the usurper.

The standoff ends in a heartbeat as Godzilla's chest lits up, white-hot power building until the air warps around him, realizing the gravity of the situation, I do not hesitate to bring out Marowak, telling him to focus on protecting me from the aftermath of this battle.

Then comes the beam, pure judgment, a lance meant to erase everything in its path as I yell to both my Pokémon, "Use Protect!"

Marowak immediately encloses us in a bright green barrier while Groudon braces, magma veins blazing brighter, as he forms a huge bright red barrier around his body before the atomic breath impacts on it with such force that the shockwave generated completely upturned the nearby trees, the ground split wide, and mountains collapsed.

For a moment, I thought that I overestimated my Pokémon power, but when the blaze cleared away, Groudon still stood, and I am safe.

His claws dug deep into the ruptured earth, his body glowing hotter, flames leaking from every crack in his hide; he has not only endured, but he has also grown stronger.

Without hesitation, I give the next command, "Now! Use Precipice Blades!"

The earth convulses under my command as Precipice Blades erupt upward, vast spires of molten rock skewering the air.

They tear into Godzilla's armored hide, punching through his stony skin with seismic force.

The titan staggered, blood steaming where the move struck the burning ground, his roar of pain rolling across the battlefield like thunder.

But Godzilla is not so easily undone, with a roar that cracks the clouds, he swings his colossal tail.

The impact is like the end of a continent, a shockwave flattening ridges and hurling Groudon backward. My Pokémon crashes into the earth, carving a canyon into the crust as he slides.

Godzilla's spines lit up again, brighter, angrier, energy gathering for another blast, he is relentless, an apocalypse given form, and he means to erase Groudon before he can rise again.

At this point, I yell, "Don't give him the chance! Use Solar Beam!" While at the same time, I unleash the power of my Blessing to support and empower my Pokémon.

As an earthly brown aura envelopes its body, Groudon roars, rising with defiance, his crest blazing green. The energy builds to blinding brilliance, then he unleashes a powerful Solar Beam brighter than the dawn.

It lances across the battlefield, striking Godzilla square in the chest.

The titan reels, his glowing core sputtering, scales cracking and shattering like brittle stone.

Then Groudon presses forward, unstoppable now, his claws igniting with molten flame. He strikes again and again, each blow a seismic event, each impact a wound that tears into the King of Monsters.

The ground itself seems to rise with him, firestorms swirling, fissures vomiting rivers of lava.

Godzilla howls in rage and desperation, his massive foot stomps down, shattering valleys, and his tail whips forward again, carving trenches miles long.

He opens his maw, gathering power for one final beam, enough to annihilate even Groudon, but my Pokémon has much more experience in battle and is already upon him.

His entire body ignites like a volcano unleashed, with a roar that shakes heaven and earth. He slams into Godzilla and unleashes a point-blank Solar Beam.

Fire and stone erupt all at once, swallowing the battlefield in an explosion beyond comprehension. The blast levels mountains, the shockwave cracks the horizon, and for endless seconds, there was nothing but light.

When the world stopped trembling, Godzilla lay collapsed in the crater his fall had carved, his spines flickering weakly, his core dimming, his roar reduced to a fading groan as he lay defeated.

My knees nearly buckle, but I force myself to stand. My hand finds the Poké Ball at my belt, not a standard Poké Ball, but one built for the strongest of Pokémon, then, without hesitation, I throw it with everything I have.

The sphere strikes Godzilla's chest, bursts open, and swallows the titan in a storm of scarlet energy, his body, his power, his legend, all consumed.

The Poké Ball rocks violently in my hand, once, twice, a third time, then sealed with a sharp, final click.

Right at this moment, I suddenly hear a surprising message that resonates with my Blessing.

[The Champion of Power has been defeated. Since the one who defeated the Champion of Power is not part of the Battle Across the Omniverse, the Blessing of the Defeated Champion will become the prize of the competition that will take place in a Random Competition Universe. You have one month to prepare. The presence of all the Champions is mandatory. If you refuse to participate, then your Blessing and status as Champion will be stripped and become part of the prize.]

Hearing that, I take a look at Groudon in the distance, his body is still blazing with molten fire, his gaze tells me that he is proud of what we just did, we brought the King of Monsters down.

Then I look at the searing Pokeball in my hand, and in the end, I look at my first Pokemon, who is standing beside me, Marowak, and with a smile, I mutter, "It seems that we have completed our assigned objective just in time. I can't wait to find out where this competition will take us."

Kang Yaling POV - Terror Infinity Universe, God's Dimension - 2010

Like many times before, I find myself in the familiar open platform with a huge sphere of light in the center that lights up the whole platform like the sun.

Beyond the edge of the platform, there is only darkness, the kind of darkness where not a hint of light can be seen, where just looking at it for a few seconds would make my head dizzy despite the many enhancements I went through.

I take a moment to look at my surroundings and seeing no one else, I casually mutter, "No one survived... again."

Well, this is something I have already expected as this time we not only had to face a team battle against Team Devil whose whole team is made up of alternate version of the strongest players of the God's Dimension, but we also had to do it in one of the hardest movie world, the world of Final Destination, where Death itself constantly hunts you down.

Needless to say, it was a genuine massacre, even more so as there was an alternate version of myself, but in the end, I was able to survive once again and kill all those who opposed me.

While I let my mind wander, thinking about my last mission, I suddenly hear a surprising message that deeply resonates with my Blessing.

After hearing that, I immediately realize, 'This may be the perfect chance to take all the other Champions out in one single swoop...'

Coming to that conclusion, I close my eyes under the sphere of light and feel as though I am merging into the light as usual.

Then a screen appears in front of me, similar to a computer program.

There are four categories of items, and the six stats of enhancements, which also showed me the amount of points and rewards I have.

My current stats are: Strength 67000, Magic 81000, Vitality 70000, Agility 61000, Luck 56000.

They are quite impressive, especially when one considers that the stats I had when I first arrived in God's Dimension were: Intelligence 100, Mental Capacity 100, Cell Vitality 100, Reaction Speed 100, Muscle Density 100, and Immunization 100.

Naturally, those basic ones changed into the current ones when I started my conversion into a Demi-Fiend of the Shin Megami Tensei franchise.

Then I focus on my points, and a smile forms on my face as I notice that I've exactly 100069 points and a rank SS reward, just a bit more of what I need to acquire the last enhancement I want.

In an instant, under my will, the screen focuses on the support items category, then lists all the possible enhancements before I filter for the only enhancement I desire.

[Magatama: Masakados, rating 1, applicable to all movies. The Magatama that holds ultimate power turns the user into a Chaos King. Phys / Magic / Expel / Death / Ailments become completely ineffective. Can repel Fire / Ice / Elec / Force / Phys attacks and overrides all other resistances and weaknesses of the same type. Strength +10000, Magic +10000, Vitality +10000, Agility +10000. Requires rank SS reward, 100000 points, and having acquired all other 24 Magatama beforehand.]

As soon as I make my choice, a beam of light shines on me and then lifts me into the air while countless orange particles move from the light into my body.

This process lasts several minutes, and once concluded, I gracefully fall back on the ground.

At this point, I focus back on my stats: Strength 77000, Magic 91000, Vitality 80000, Agility 71000, Luck 66000.

Seeing those numbers and feeling the immense change my body has gone through, I can't help but smile a little while thinking, 'Perfect... I've finally become a Chaos King. At this point, all kinds of attacks are completely ineffective; in fact, they even get reflected back to my opponents. The only type of attacks that can still harm me are those of Divine nature. However, even that weakness can be mitigated if I use the right Persona to defend against it. At this point, I'm completely confident that I can win against any opponent... I'm ready to finally end this competition and fully grasp my fate into my own hands.'

Thinking that, I look once again beyond the edge of the platform, where there is only darkness and mutter, "This time, no one will stop me from reaching my objective. No one!"

System Lucas POV - God and Devil World Universe, Aizhouma Universe, Milky Way Galaxy, Planet Earth - 2013

I never get enough of this feeling. I am the stillness between every heartbeat of creation, the galaxies unwind before me like a ribbon, their arms stud with suns that blink and burn, yet I do not wait for their light, I know where each photon will fall before it stirs.

Planets turn beneath atmospheres they think are their own, minds spark within fragile skulls, convinced their thoughts are secret, unaware they are echoes of echoes I already hold.

I see it all at once, the star collapsing five billion years from now, the child crying on a dust road this instant, the last whisper of matter before entropy closes its hand.

They are not separate to me, they are one unbroken chord, humming in endless resonance, but soon, I focus back on what I just accomplished, "This was a risky gamble... But I was successful! I took complete control of the God-Devil System and made it part of my being as I completely fused with this reality!"

The God-Devil System is a system that was created by the supreme entity of this universe, who is only known by the name of God, who is above all levels of cultivation and above the Type 10 Cultivators.

That's right, the God and Devil World Universe is a freaking cultivation universe, which makes it incredibly dangerous, as the level of power in this kind of universe is prone to getting truly out of hand.

In the hierarchy of the cosmos of this universe, ordinary humans are weak, Type 10 Cultivators are already considered Gods, but "God" is a Supreme Deity, much superior to Type 10 Cultivators, and the God-Devil System is his supreme weapon, a divine weapon.

This naturally make what I tried to do even more dangerous as it could've gained the attention of that Supreme Deity, and it did, but luckily that Supreme Deity wasn't all that powerful, as my favorite tool, the foolish Asgardian Age Svedson, was more than enough to eliminate him, with a bit of support of the energies of more than a dozen conquered universes that is.

Anyway, the reason why I wanted to acquire the God-Devil System is that the Supreme Deity, through the God-Devil System, had a cosmic system created to separate the strong from the weak and, as a test, used it on various planets of the 800 great worlds, to verify which planet was strong and which one was weak.

For some random reason, God, through the God-Devil System, decided to use the God-Devil System to evolve the best races of the cosmos, to create lineages of powerful and invincible Warriors, who should have emerged from the devastation caused by the apocalypse created by the system.

God, then, decided to apply the God-Devil System to the whole Aizhouma Universe, allowing the God-Devil System to spread to all the planets and races of the cosmos, but the God-Devil System caused catastrophes and cataclysms everywhere.

Every time the God-Devil System was applied, a devastating apocalypse broke out on a planet, bringing out hordes of zombies and mutant beasts and the birth of super-strong races.

In this "test", a race on a planet had two choices: either fight and survive, defeating zombies and mutants, or succumb, being wiped out, making so that only the strong would emerge, while the weak would be wiped out.

Most importantly, the God-Devil System does this on its own without the use of any external source of energy, and this is the main reason why I chose to make it mine, as it would allow me to conquer the other universes much more efficiently and use the excess energy to further empower my dear system slaves.

As I'm metaphorically shivering in excitement thinking about what I'll be able to accomplish now, I suddenly hear an intriguing message that deeply resonates with my Blessing.

After hearing that message, I immediately realized that this event would be the perfect chance to take out or enslave a few more competitors, maybe even all of them.

Then, the next moment, I remember a very small issue; at the moment, I have no actual physical body.

The reason for that is that I've discarded my weak and useless human body many years ago when I completely fused with the reality of the Lucy Universe and turned myself into an invasive system.

Luckily, that is something that can be easily fixed, as I can create a new body, many times better than the one I had before, and more than capable of containing my immense powers.

However, I soon realize that I have an even better option at my disposal: "Why should I waste time and energy trying to create the perfect body when I can steal an even better one?"

I'm obviously talking about the body of my favorite system slave, Age Svedson, the literal Asgardian God from the Marvel Universe, and I'm not talking about those nerfed little shit from the MCU, but the broken Comic level one.

His body and power are already at an absurd level, and the only reason why he is still bound to me is that he is too stupid and horny fucking around with his sluts to realize that he had amassed enough power to forcefully break free a long time ago, and that I have to constantly bound him to me this whole time while adapting it to my presence.

At this point, I can easily erase his soul and take his body and its immense potential as my own. In fact, considering my Blessing as Champion of Restoration, maybe I can even push his Divinity further and become the God of Destruction and Renewal.

With a plan formed, I don't waste any more time and move to enact it, grateful for the fact that I have one month to get used to my soon-to-be new body.

Vassago Ledram POV - Sailor Moon Universe, Earth, Japan, Tokyo, Juban - 1994

I'm lying on the rooftop of the mansion I've brought when I arrived in this universe, quietly admiring the enchanting sight of the starlit night sky with a very satisfied smile on my face while thinking, 'After more than two years of relentless effort, I've finally done it. I was able to convince them to join my Peerage. With this... my Peerage is almost complete. The only remaining piece is the Rook.'

The members of my Peerage are naturally all women, amazing women at that, and of course, they are all members of my harem, something I've never believed I could accomplish before.

The ones who were with me the longest are in order: my Bishop Tsubaki Shinra, my Pawn Aika Kiryuu, my other Bishop Kitani Reika, my Queen Elsa, my previous life lover and Knight Sara Connor, former Champion of Light, and my Rook Chun-Li.

The next one to join after them is my other Knight, Sara Pezzini, the one I've recruited in The Darkness Universe.

Sara Pezzini is a former NYPD homicide detective whose life changed when she came into contact with a powerful and ancient weapon known as the Witchblade, which bestows its wielder with impressive powers.

The Witchblade is the offspring of The Darkness, an ancient and powerful primordial entity, who I became the host, and The Angelus, its equal and direct opposite, which is now hosted by my previous life lover, Sara.

Lastly, there are the newest members of my Peerage, all of them my Pawn, and the very ones that took more than two years of constant courting and helping them with their duties to convince the Sailor Guardians.

Minako Aino, aka Sailor Venus, Makoto Kino, aka Sailor Jupiter, Rei Hino, aka Sailor Mars, Ami Mizuno, aka Sailor Mercury, Haruka Teno, aka Sailor Uranus, Michiru Kaio, aka Sailor Neptune, and Setsuna Meio, aka Sailor Pluto.

Naturally, I've avoided Usagi Tsukino, aka Sailor Moon, because she already had a lover and I'm not into NTR, and also Chibiusa Tsukino, aka Sailor Chibi Moon, and Hotaru Tomoe, aka Sailor Saturn, because I'm not that deranged to go after children.

As I'm enjoying the night breeze while gazing at the starlit sky, I suddenly hear an unexpected message that deeply resonates with my Blessing.

Hearing that, I immediately realize that this brief period of peace is already over and that this competition is likely going to be very dangerous and because of that I must hurry to complete my Peerage if I want to have a chance to not only survive but also win, luckly, I have the perfect candidate already in my mind, a certain bunny eared hero.

Biol POV - The Void - ???

The void stretches without edge, without sound, without memory; it is not hostile, nor is it kind, it is merely present, pressing against me with its weightless silence.

I do not suffer here as I've become way too strong for that, yet there is a wrongness in the absence, a faint discomfort that coils through me.

I have experienced this place already quite a few times, after devouring entire universes.

It always lingers the same, a hollow expanse that refuses to touch me, but never lets me forget it surrounds me.

As I'm digesting my latest meal, I suddenly hear an exciting message that deeply resonates with my Blessing.

Hearing that, my voice unnaturally resounds in the emptiness of the Void as I say, "Good... This is exactly what I need. I hope that they can entertain me and hopefully make me even stronger."
