Monday came like flash. I woke up early to have a first best impression. By 6:15am ,I was done and ready for work.
"oh Lord thank you for this and I pray that you see me through this job. help me Lord" I said a prayer and went out of the room.
"Elsa hurry up and let's go"I said to her as she hurried with her breakfast.
"my dear, eat something before you go"mom said
"no mom I'm skipping breakfast today and I'm running late"I replied her
"make sure you eat something okay"mom said with a worried face.
"sure mom"
"bye mom"Elsa and I said together as we left.
"sis which time will come home"Elsa asked as I hailed a taxi. My workplace and the school is not far so I decided to drop her at school first.
"maybe by 5:30" I told her unsure of my answer

15 minutes later I was standing of front of where I would be working. With a smile , I was happy I was early so that I could adjust well before 7.
"hello, I am Claudia Benson ,I am the new assistant to the CEO and I was told to take my ID from the receptionist"I said with a smile
"oh right, you are very early Ms. Benson"she said with a forced smile which made know that this woman doesn't like me , but why? well I guess we'll find out later
"why is something wrong with that Ms. Clarke?"I asked looking at her tag to clarify her name.
"no Ms Benson"she said with fake smile
"this is your ID and the CEOs office is on the 30th floor, wish you all the best"she said handing over my ID to me.
"thank you"I left
I entered into the elevator which was almost full. I could feel people's gazes on me because they were wondering whether I was new or not. well that wasn't their business to know.i pressed on the 30th floor and waited patiently while a one or two people would go out on almost all the floors. 5 minutes and I was standing Infront of the the CEO's office which was written on the door. Checking my time, I realized I was 15 minutes early. First impression is always needed, it wasn't like I would be coming late from tomorrow onwards. Excited but scared, I knocked on the door and I heard a come in, which I entered .
"wow"was all I could say at the sight of the CEO. Damn this man was gorgeous. I was busy fantasizing until I heard someone clearing the throat before I realized what I was doing.
"Good morning boss, my name is Claudia Benson and I am your new personal assistant"I tried to be professional
"I know I am handsome and charming but I didn't employ you to be ogling at me when you are supposed to be working now,now you wouldn't want to loose your job on your fist day of work do you?"he asked with a stern voice and a raised brow
"my apologies sir, it will never happen again "I said sincerely.
"it's good you reported early,there is alot of work to do. Go to the secretary outside of this building and ask for my schedule, then go to the HR department to know your monthly salary, then report back here in 30 minutes "
"yes sir"
I went to the secretary for the schedule and looking through it, I could see it was full and tight, doesn't he rest? well, that is not my business right. I then went to the HR department and realized that the salary here is high plus employee benefits.
"with this amount of money , I will be able to pay the debt before the Year ends thankfully" I murmured to myself with a smile
I made way to the CEO's office and saw that he was really busy.
"sir , can I help you with anything?" I asked trying to be helpful. Raising up his head he looked at me with his deep grey eyes.
"yeah, you could get me a iced fruit tea please"
well he is polite, I thought
"ok sir" I was about to get out when he said
"take this card the pin code is 7681and please hurry up" he said dropping a black card on the table. I slowly made my way to the table, took the card and left.
I think I saw a coffee shop down this lane when I was coming, I thought . with that in mind, I went to get the tea but upon my arrival, I realized that there were alot of people there, this means that the stuffs were good. Joining the queue and waiting patiently for my turn, I scan through the place , andit really looked comfy and had homey vybe , I loved it.5minutes time and it was my turn
"what can I get you Miss?"the lady asked

"okay "
Realizing that I had kept long, I ran into the building , the elevator and calmed myself when I reached the the door of the CEO. I knocked and I heard a come in with a pissed voice
"sir your tea"I said bringing the tea to his table
"Ms. Benson I hate people who are lazy"I could sense that he was angry. "sir I am not lazy at all"I said hastily afraid that I would loose my job.
"time will tell"
"now take this and type it and proofread it , reschedule my schedules and inform me" he said dropping a pile of papers. Well I guess there is no lunch for me today, I thought
