Was death supposed to be this cold?

Am I dead? But why there is pain? I was told that there would be no more pain when death came. Does that mean I'm still alive?

Could it be possible that I survived the fall? It was a long way down the cliff, and if I did, how long would it take for this wilderness to take me?

I was simply collecting tree sap to help the pirates mend the ship for us to get off the island. Would Callum even search for me? Would he even care? I hope he did.

A chill ran down everywhere. At first, I thought there was an earthquake, but then I realized it was me, excessively shivering, and I could feel my teeth chattering so hard that I thought they might break. I was drenched to the bone, my body felt heavy, and my head hurt so much, hammering with a concussion. I remember the heavy rainstorm. The sharp pellets of raindrops plummeted painfully to my skin like nails, and it was still clapping thunder right overhead.
