"Even I can take care of you when you're mooching meals, what's a few goldfish to me?"
He curved his lips smiling, his face very close.
Grace Winter felt a bit embarrassed, her face red, "I'll learn how to cook in the future."
Hayes Edwards laughed at her, "You, learn to cook?"
"Yeah?" Grace looked up at him, even when angry she was gentle, "Can't I?"
Hayes Edwards: "Forget it, I don't rely on you for meals anyway, better not learn."
Grace hugged her arms and fell silent, her cheeks puffed slightly.
Hayes put down the fish tank and reached out to lightly poke her cheek, warm with a soft warmth, "Angry?"
"No." She turned her head away, not looking at him.
Hayes smiled, "Don't be mad, I'll treat you to ice cream."
Grace was tempted, "Now?"
"Yeah, now." Hayes said.
A little later, there were two more people on the seats of the neighborhood basketball court, Grace eating ice cream, her lips reddened from the cold but she was still very happy.
