In a small voice, "Hayes Edwards."
Called once, no response.
After a while, she tried calling again, "Hayes Edwards."
Hayes turned over, covered his ears with a pillow, his voice full of morning grumpiness, "Grace Winter, if you keep bothering me, I'm going to hit you!"
Grace Winter wasn't scared of his threat at all, "Didn't you say you were going to play basketball downstairs with the guys today?"
This was arranged before the holiday.
Hayes still didn't open his eyes, "I'm going at noon, it's only morning."
"Alright then." Grace nodded, looked at the still-sleeping Hayes, and ran off to play with her toys.
It felt like only a few seconds passed, but it had actually been half an hour. Hayes was shaken awake from his slumber, Grace standing beside him with tear-reddened eyes, "Hayes Edwards, my hair, my hair got tangled..."
Only then did Hayes notice a small car model part tangled in the ends of Grace's hair, looking like it might be a steering wheel or something.
