An elven maid stepped through the door with blue eyes and blonde hair pulled back behind her head. Her steps silent as she walked across the floor reminded Lucas of his subordinates most competent at stealth.
"Master, I see you have rested well." Chloe curtsied at the side of the bed.
"How long was I asleep?" Lucas asked while pulling up the sheet to cover Eva who was still draped over his chest.
"Two days. Would you like a meal first or a bath?"
Two days. Lucas sat with that information for a moment. I suppose I went beyond my limit of endurance. He absentmindedly brushed Eva's hair back.
"We will take a bath," he answered.
Chloe nodded and moved to leave the room. She soon returned with a group of men carrying a tub and hot water, which they left in the room. Chloe laid out several implements and fresh clothes before leaving when prompted.
