"This is starting to terrify me…" Velten thought in discomfort while watching the window change "why does this –so-called system– respond to my words?"
This "system" thing wasn't something really new to Velten. He already saw it multiple times while playing MMORPGs, and the protagonists in some of the novels he read obtained something similar to this. However, it was somewhat weird for him to have the system work according to his words.
Velten shrugged his shoulders while letting a long sigh and said as he stared at the almost empty inventory "Well, I guess this is gonna be helpful since I think I can store anything here, but…"
Velten stopped for a brief moment then added "why doesn't it have my bow here as well?"
"Is it because I dropped it when those spears penetrated my body?" he asked, "well, I guess I just have to work with my normal dagger for the time being"
Velten then stopped and looked into the distance and said "But first, I need to train this weak body of mine. I don't want to be left behind this time"

Velten looked at the window that appeared quietly and surprised for a moment. He then face-palmed himself while sighing as he thought "Are you serious now?.."
"I don't have much problem with the quest itself since I'm really gonna need it, but why do I need to train like that bald guy?" he uttered.
"I mean… I guess it worked well with the shadow monarch, but why is there a punishment that isn't even showing up?"
Velten was standing in his place with an annoyed expression on his face, but since there was a punishment for not completing the daily quest, it couldn't be helped.
Putting that aside, Before Velten could start walking again, a girls figure with red hair and red eyes, wearing a school uniform approached him smiling while waving her hand and saying "Yo! Velten…"
"Oh, Rose?" Velten replied in surprise "What are you doing here?"
"That's my question… I went to your house so we can go to school together, but your mom said that you are not going today" Rose replied pouting, as she got closer to him.
"Ah, yeah, that's right… we used to walk to school together" Velten leaned back and thought while looking away from her.
"W-well, I just don't feel like going to school today," Velten replied.
"What's up with you all of a sudden?" Rose remarked "you're not being yourself today"
"Huh? What do you mean?" Velten said as he raised his brows in confusion.
"You usually are serious about studying, so what's wrong with you today"
"I genuinely don't know why I was like that at this age," Velten thought.
He was indeed a bookworm in his past life, because his mom was banning him from participating in raids, and he found nothing interesting, so he focused on studying, or at least until his mom died.
Velten patted her head and said "Don't worry, I'm okay. I just have other things that are more important than going to school"
"Like?" she raised her head and asked.
"Well, I can't tell you right now, but you will know soon" Velten replied smiling "now, aren't you gonna be late for school if you don't go?"
Rose turned her head and looked at her watch. She started panicking when she found that she is really late and started running, but she stopped for a moment and said while looking at Velten "you better be doing something valuable if you are going to skip school like this"
Velten giggled a little bit when he heard that. He then waved his hand and said "don't worry, everyone will be dumbfounded when I achieve what I want"
"It's been so long since I saw her having all these emotions on her face" Velten stood there and thought while watching her figure fade in the distance.
Velten then turned his head and looked at the sky with a serious look on his face and both his hands in his pockets and mumbled, "Life is peaceful right now, but this won't last for too long, so I need to hurry…"
Velten then headed to the urban park downtown and started doing his daily quest.
Since his body was very weak, it took him so long to finish it, and by the time he was finally done, he was exhausted and feeling dizzy.
He fell on his back and started heavily breathing to the point where anyone passing by him would have thought that he was choking.
"That was harder than what I expected" Velten uttered and moved his arm and put it on his forehead "this body is much weaker than I thought"
While he was resting, a bunch of notifications started appearing, one after another.
[Notification: You completed the daily quest]
