Floor 70, known as "Thebes," was a world of endless dunes and shimmering blue seas, where vegetation and fresh water remained painfully scarce. Here, the Ancient Egyptian Gods ruled the sands, the oases, the rivers, and the oceans. Over countless eons, they sired descendants among mortals, giving rise to the Seven Divine Families, each tracing its lineage to a different Ancient God.
Long ago, the Egyptian Gods clashed with a catastrophic force from within Thebes itself: Apophis, the Primordial Serpent of Chaos, who sought to devour the Sun. After a devastating war that nearly shattered their world, the surviving Gods fell into a deep, prolonged slumber. Their families waited patiently for the day of awakening, while the people of Thebes, wielding their inherited Divine Powers, climbed through the Tower's Floors, conquering worlds and harvesting technology and magic to fortify their Unified Kingdoms.
