Inside the damaged Void sphere, Immortal Nimrod's avatar was thrown backward for the first time.
The torn sleeve of his cloak fluttered in the hollow darkness, and beneath the rent fabric, there was no flesh, no bone, and no blood. There was only a deep purplish emptiness, woven together by countless threads of Void Law and something colder, something that seemed to resemble an ethereal soul imprint yet wasn't truly a soul.
Jacob's hollow sockets burned brighter. 'So that's how it is…'
On the other hand, Jacob noticed something else: the injury on his own back was already healing.
The hollow darkness that Nimrod had injected into him had tried to erase a portion of his existence, but before it could spread deeper, the crimson runic lines of the Longevity Schema blazed across his bones.
It was the first time Jacob had suffered such an injury caused by pure law, and although he knew about the terrifying healing properties of the cursed blood, he had yet to determine their limits.
