I rise peacefully, stretching into a starfish with my legs trembling and yawning loudly. Stretching is my favorite part of the morning.
I stare at the clock resting on the nightstand. What! The clock strikes noon, and I realize I have indulged in an extended slumber. Sharing a bed with Jason brings me a sense of comfort and security; I've noticed a significant decrease in my nightmares recently. While we are on the subject of Jason, where exactly is he?
As I stomp my feet to the restroom door, my breath catches and my pulse races as Jason meets my gaze. The sight of his still-dripping skin from the shower and the precarious droop of his white towel on his hips made his mouth water.
As we locked eyes from head to toe, the palpable tension in the room grew intolerable. Because my brain was acting up so badly, I could not bring myself to close my partially open mouth. I can not tear my eyes away from his muscular physique. All I could think about was savoring every part of him, licking the moisture off his golden skin.
With a smirk on his face, he confidently walks past me. I cannot help but watch as he dries his hair with a towel, each breath causing his muscles to ripple in perfect harmony. It becomes increasingly difficult to breathe and to rein in my emotions. "Wait, was I really falling for this bad boy in less than a week of being with him?"
With his muscles flexing with every step, he turns back to face me and walks towards me. He is fully aware of the effect he is having on me, and I can not take my gaze off of him. When I realized I was still standing exactly where he had left me, a tiny grin spread across my face.
He inches closer, the space between us shrinking to mere centimeters. I instinctively retreat, but my back meets the unforgiving wall, leaving me with no escape. Suddenly, he seizes my arm, pressing me firmly against the surface, and a startled yelp escapes my lips.
My breath quickens, and an unexpected dryness fills my mouth. His hand glides to my hips, and with his touch, I close my eyes, only to open them once more. His gaze flickered to my lips as I gently nibbled on my lower lip.
If I do not rein myself in at this very moment, I could find myself entangled in a situation where I become one of his companions, and I have no desire for that to unfold in my life.
"I take it you used my restroom. Why?" Trying to avoid the tension that exists between us, I ask.
With a chuckle, he releases his grip on my neck.
"Are you kidding me right this second?" He lifts an eyebrow, a subtle arch that hints at curiosity or skepticism.
"Indeed, I am serious," I declare.
He exhales softly as he retreats. "My own restroom ran out of water, so I had to borrow yours."
"Oh, okay," I mumble.
I continue to look at his abs with my mouth half-opened once again.
"You like what you see, huh, Maria?" he asks.
My thoughts faded into a void, and instinctively, I uttered the first response that surfaced, "Yes…"
His laughter resonates, a sound that dances through the air.
In response to him, I roll my eyes and say, "I mean no, what would I like about your body?"
"I will take your first answer then," he states, his footsteps echoing as he strides out of the room.
"Pardon me," I mumbled.
My initial statement was sincere; after all, who could resist his alluring figure? His sly grin confirmed it.
Jason is nowhere in sight when I enter the living room. He must have left at that time. I need to find my classes and make friends, but I don't know where to start. I will just use the school map.
Jason is probably a senior at this point. I suppose I will have to handle this on my own then; he could lend me a hand, but I seriously doubt that complete moron could actually lend me a hand.
Locking the door behind me, I stepped out of the room. With my shades perched on my nose, I reached into my left pocket and retrieved my phone, glancing at the email detailing the school directions. I collided with an object or a person directly in my path. I glance upward to find a girl who appears to be about my age, her expression filled with regret as she says, "I am so sorry." As our gazes intertwine, a shared chuckle escapes our lips, a silent conversation unfolding between us.
"By the way...my name is," I wake up peacefully, stretching myself into a starfish. My legs tremble as I let out a loud yawn. I love it when I stretch; the process is my favorite part of the morning.
I'm looking at my clock on the nightstand. What! It's already noon, and I have slept for too long. Sleeping with Jason does help me out a lot; I haven't had any nightmares lately. As we ponder the whereabouts of Jason, one can not help but wonder where he might be at this very moment.
I shuffle my feet toward the bathroom, the door creaking open, and in that moment, my heart halts as Jason's gaze meets mine. He was incredibly enticing, his skin glistening with droplets from the shower, the white towel resting provocatively low on his hips.
The atmosphere in this room was thick with tension as we scrutinized one another from head to toe. My mind was in such disarray that I could not even contemplate shutting my half-opened door. I find myself captivated by the impressive physique he possesses. At this moment, my mind was consumed with the desire to savor every drop from his radiant skin, to experience the flavor of every inch of him.
He pivots to confront me and strides forward, his muscles rippling with every deliberate step he takes. My gaze is irresistibly drawn to him, and he is fully aware of the effect he has on me. A subtle smirk appeared as I realized I remained in the exact spot where he had left me.
He inches closer, the space between us narrowing, and I instinctively retreat, but I find myself trapped against the wall. He seizes my arm, pressing me firmly against the surface, and I gasp in shock.
My breath quickens, and an unexpected dryness envelops my mouth. His hand glides to my hips, and with his touch, I find myself closing my eyes, then opening them again. His gaze flickered to my lips as I gently bit my lower lip.
If I do not rein myself in at this very moment, I could find myself entangled in a situation where I become one of his companions, and I have no desire for that to unfold in my life.
"What prompted you to use my bathroom?" I inquire, attempting to sidestep the palpable strain that lingers in the air between us.
He lets out a soft chuckle, and in that moment, he releases his grip on my neck.
"Are you serious right now?" He raises an eyebrow.
"Yes, I am serious," I say.
He sighs while moving back "There was no water in my bathroom; that's why I used yours," he says.
"Oh, okay," I mumble.
I continue to look at his abs with my mouth half-opened once again.
"You like what you see, huh, Maria?" he asks.
My mind went blank and without thinking, I responded to the only thing that came to mind, "Yes…"
He laughs.
"I mean, no, what would I like about your body?" I roll my eyes at him.
"I will take your first answer then," he says, walking out of the room.
"Excuse me," I blurted out.
I could see his smirk, and I know he knows that I meant what I said at first. Who wouldn't love his body?
As I step into the living room, I notice the absence of Jason. It seems he has ventured out. As I think about venturing out, I realize I must explore the school and perhaps discover some companionship. However, I am unsure of where to start, as I am completely unfamiliar with the locations of the classes. I suppose I will rely on the school map to guide me.
Jason is likely navigating the complexities of his second senior year. Perhaps he might offer some assistance, but I have my doubts about whether that fool could genuinely provide any help. It seems I will have to tackle the situation on my own.
As I stepped out of the room, I turned back to secure the door with a decisive click, ensuring it was firmly locked behind me. As I slipped on my shades, I reached into my left pocket and retrieved my phone, glancing at the email containing the school directions. I collided with an object or a person directly in my path. I glance upward to find a girl who appears to be about my age, her expression filled with regret as she says, "I am so sorry." As our gazes intertwine, a shared laughter escapes our lips.
"By the way, my name is"
A male voice interrupted my sentence.
"Kate!" he calls out, his voice echoing with urgency.
The girl's expression transforms into pure joy as she gazes upward to discover the identity of the person.
"Oh my goodness, Jason!" she exclaimed as she walked past me, wrapping her arms around him in a warm embrace. A twinge of jealousy stirred within me as I watched them share that moment together.
Are you going somewhere? Jason inquires, his gaze directed towards me.
Excellent, now both of them are oriented towards me.
"Do you know her?" With a gesture, Kate directs her finger towards me.
"Yes, she is my roommate," he replies.
Kate appears unfazed by my presence as Jason's roommate, or perhaps she perceives me as no rival to her?
"I will be leaving then; it was a pleasure to meet you, Kate," I said, projecting my voice so that Jason would turn to face me.
Kate offers me a warm, inviting smile, while Jason turns away, treating me as if we are strangers despite sharing the same living space.
I take my time as I step away, hoping Jason will pause, but he continues on, unlocking the door and entering with Kate by his side.
Seething with anger, I press on, muttering harsh words to myself for ever believing he would hold me back.
I observed an enormous building, its size appearing even more impressive from the side. As anticipated, the interior was truly vast, bustling with a multitude of students. As I stepped into the library, a wave of frustration washed over me, and I muttered a curse under my breath. This might truly become my most cherished spot, especially as an avid reader. I have never really bonded with anyone because, well, my friends were books.
As I meandered through the intricate maze of towering bookshelves, a specific book captured my gaze, distinctly emerging from the sea of countless volumes. "The book titled One Night Stand was thoroughly read."
"I had no idea you were fond of the sensual elements." A sudden voice erupted from behind me, startling me and causing the book I was holding to slip from my grasp and fall to the ground. I hurriedly reached for the book, but alas, I was too late. I glanced upward to find Jason's gaze fixed on the book, only to have him shift his attention back to me moments later.
I do not understand how he arrived here so fast. Whispers escape my lips.
"I followed you here," he says.
"You cheeky girl," he says, offering me a playful wink.
"I-I was merely glancing. It's not as if I had any intention of reading it," I murmured, my eyes wandering from him, deliberately evading his gaze.
He looks at me with an expression that hints at doubt, his eyebrow raised in a manner that enhances his charm. In this moment, there is something irresistibly captivating about him.
"Hmm," he contemplates.
"Jason, bring it back!" I reach out, my fingers stretching towards the book he clutches tightly, but he lifts it higher, teasingly beyond my grasp.
"No, I cannot do that," he replies, lifting the book even higher with a fierce determination.
Marvelous, and now we have captured the attention of everyone with our enchanting showcase. I remain perfectly still, my eyes locked on him as I absorb every nuance of his movements.
He lets out a hearty chortle, "Come on, are you tired already?"
I conceal my genuine feelings behind a carefully crafted smile.
As he returned the book to me, a wave of embarrassment washed over me. With a quick movement, I grasped the book from his hands and placed it back on the shelf.
His laughter cascades like a river, an unbroken surge of delight.
