After leaving Laurene, Evan headed to speak with Eliza for a little while before returning to the Alpha Continent with her.
He dropped her off in Verdalight before continuing on to Gerfast, where he headed straight to the mansion of a Duke and one of the Ten Great Swordsmen of the GWE, the Second Sword, Sir Luke Bowthe.
The end result of that meeting was the two of them taking a trip toward the northern part of the continent, to a particular location they had once travelled to in the past—what was left of an ancient Magic Kingdom called Verduracliff.
Years ago, shortly before Evan went to the Beast Kingdom, where he'd encountered the Lizard Lord's Outbreak occurring ahead of schedule, he and Luke had come here, and it was here that he had acquired the Arcanum Eclipsor, the artifact with the capability of absorbing and storing powerful magic attacks, particularly nuclear magic.
Even now, it was still loaded with a charge of nuclear magic that Evan hadn't used.
