SUNNY – POV (Edited)
I was beyond the sky. I was so happy. Gloria and I packed my clothes and toiletries—everything I owned—and I was going to talk to Ms. Anna, the one who helped me settle in the shelter.
"You're leaving, my Sunny Day?" she asked.
"Yes, Ms. Anna. I was going to come to you first."
"Where are you living now, my baby?"
"With my friends."
"I wish you the best of luck finding a good job… and a handsome man."
"Ms. Anna, I don't want any man. I'm not in a situation to love or be loved."
"Why, Danny? We love you with all our hearts—me, Danny, and Ms. Anna." She looked emotional that I was leaving.
"Yes… I'm very sad and happy at the same time. I will miss you so much."
"Me too. I'll come visit."
"I'll be waiting. And if you need anything, my door is always open for you, son."
"Thank you… I think I'll cry now."
"No, honey bee. Smile! It's a new beginning. But please don't let anyone use you. It's okay to be selfish sometimes."
"I'll remember that. Thank you for everything you've done for me."
"Goodbye, Sunny. I hope to see you only for visits."
"Me too… goodbye."
I left the shelter with watering eyes. Lori was waiting in her car.
"Don't be sad. You'll love Danny's house. It's huge, with a pool, a playroom, a home cinema… and your own bathroom."
"You're joking. How much is the rent? I can't afford it."
"Stop thinking about it. It's Danny's house—you'll only pay a little amount and a part of the groceries."
" but if it's like you said, it's going to be a lot."
"Shut up. We'll talk when Danny's back. He's the owner this month. You only pay half the groceries."
"I hope this isn't a dream… there's a rainbow everywhere. I'm not used to this."
"You'll get used to it. But I want to be clear: Danny and I have a reason for being so fond of you. We want to help. I've seen so much drama, and I'm telling you this now so you don't misinterpret things later."
"I appreciate you. Please don't hurt me. I like you so much—it would hurt if you did."
"No, honey bee. We'll never hurt you."
"Oh… not you too. I don't like this name."
"You'll get used to it. I'm not stopping."
"I can feel that already."
"You're getting to know me—the great bitch Gloria, in all her glory."
"What? Are you serious?"
"No, son. I'm the moon goddess."
"Stop, or we'll get cursed by the goddesses."
"Don't fear me. You're my favorite child. I won't curse you."
"Thank you, my goddess. I'll offer you my virgin friend Lori as a sacrifice on the full moon."
"I'm not a virgin, you manwhore!"
"I'm a virgin. How am I a whore?"
"You're the virgin. You're the sacrifice."
"Hey, why are we taking so long if you live just a couple of blocks away?"
"Because we're picking up a lot of pizza for our Twilight marathon! I can't wait for tonight, and you have Danny's shift."
"I can't wait! I haven't seen the movie in a year."
"That makes it even more exciting."
"Thank you, Gloria. Thank you so much."
"You're welcome, honey bee."
"Bitch."
"Manwhore."
I'm happy. That's all I can say.

BLACK – POV (Edited)
I was in my office, working without assistance, but my mind was on Sunny the whole time. I didn't get much done. I picked up my phone and called Lisa.
"Hello, baby. Are you okay? I didn't see you this morning."
"I have work, Mom. I need a favor from you."
"Oh, I can't get used to you calling me Mom. It makes me want to hug you and cry. I'll do anything for you."
"Thank you, Mom. Do you want to have dinner with me?"
"Oh… at the same restaurant? Yes! I want to see my son-in-law."
"Mom, no. Please don't embarrass me."
"I promise. I'll wait for you at 8 and take care of the reservation."
"Thank you, Mom. You're the best."
Since I called her Mom yesterday, I haven't stopped feeling safe using that word.
I turned back to my work. I didn't want to fail this project. It's important—and 10% of the profits will go to charity. I haven't decided which association yet, but it will be a big donation.
The phone rang, breaking my thoughts. It was Dad.
"Dad, what do you want?"
"I think you forgot to ask me for dinner, so I'm reminding you."
"No, Dad. I didn't forget, but it's a date, which means two… goodbye."
"Okay, okay. I have work and can't come."
"Oh, what a shame. Even if you were free, you wouldn't be welcome."
"You'll need me, boy, and then I'll take my revenge."
"Good luck, Dad. Bye, I'm working."
"Good luck, son."
"Thanks. I want to meet to talk about the new project."
"Okay, we'll talk in the home office."
"Okay. See you."
I waited until 7 to prepare. I couldn't wait to see him. I wanted to know if it was a one-time thing.
I didn't want to wear something fancy. He seemed to like simple things. I chose a grey shirt Mom bought me, paired with black jeans and simple shoes. Simple—but expensive.
"Oh, honey, you look beautiful."
"Thank you, Mom. Let's go—I'm hangry."
On the way to the restaurant, my heart raced. The owner was waiting and led us to our table, thanking Mom for not calling the cops and mentioning he placed security near the restrooms.
"Your waiter will be here," he said.
"We want the boy. Is that possible?" Mom whispered. I love this woman.
"Of course. His name is Sunny."
"Such a beautiful name."
We waited five minutes. Sunny arrived with two menus.
"Mm, sir, sorry for being late. I was in my pose. I'll give you some time to decide your drinks."
"It's okay, son. I'll have red wine. What about you?"
"Can I talk to you?"
"Of course. I'll get your drink first, sir. What would you like?"
"I'll have water with lemon, please."
"Of course, sir."
"Wow… the sir zone is active, hhh."
"Yeah. I hate that he calls me sir."
"You deserve it, honey."
"Don't I know… but it's okay if I leave you alone I will be back in no time ?"
"Of course, honey. Go get your boy."
"Your drinks. Do you want to order now?"
"No, we're going to talk."
"Do we have to go out?"
"Yes. I don't want all these people looking at us."
"We can talk in the changing room. I don't think Mr. Mike will mind."
He led me to a small, windowless room.
"Thank you for asking Mr. Mike to rehire me."
"I'm sorry you lost your job in the first place, and I'm sorry I didn't treat you right."
"It's okay."
"No, it's not. All you did was help me, but I… I threatened you."
"I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have judged you. You were in bad condition—it was a defense mechanism."
He's so beautiful…
"I have a problem. I can't touch anyone—it makes me panic. Sometimes I feel trapped and even go into a coma for days."
"I didn't touch you. You're the one who…"
"I know. And that's why I shouted. It was a defense mechanism. I felt so fragile and embraced."
"You think I'll talk about you or look down on you? I promise I won't. I'll even sign papers."
"No, I don't want to talk about that."
"Then… what do you want?"
"I… please… can I touch you? Or is it just one-time?"
"Isn't that harassment?"
"No! I don't mean it badly. Forget I said anything…"
"I was joking. You can touch me. It's not every day a handsome millionaire asks to be touched."
"Do you think I'm handsome?"
"I'm not blind. And I hate lies—you're very handsome."
"And a billionaire."
"Wow, your ego is filling this small room."
"hhhh… can I touch your hand? If I freak out, don't touch me."
He gave me his hand. Someone, please, have mercy. It feels like heaven. A tingle runs through my body, settling in my hard cock.
"You look okay. Why are your eyes closed? Are you freaking out? Should I step away?"
"No, please. Can I hug you for a few seconds?"
He didn't say anything but wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight, resting his head on my shoulder.
"I don't know why, but it feels safe."
Wow… he feels safe in my hands.
"It feels like home," I said.
"Home… I forgot what that feels like."
"Ah, sorry. I have to go back to work. Do you mind if someone else gets your order?"
"No, it's okay, Sunny."
He looked at me. His eyes were red. Was he crying? Did I do something wrong?
"Thank you."
He left my arms. I watched him until the door closed, then collected myself and returned to my mom.
"Baby, is everything okay?"
"Yes, Mom. More than okay. We'll talk at home. Let's have dinner and go back to Dad. He's waiting, on fire."
"Yes… he keeps asking me to let him come with us all day."
"No way. I need a date with my mom."
"Oh, Black… you'll make me cry."
I was happy but worried about Sunny—what made him cry?
