A hog was not your ordinary farm pig. It stood as tall as a man, with a dark hide tough as leather and lazy eyes that looked half-asleep even while it moved. Two massive tusks jutted from its mouth, and its thick snout twitched constantly, sniffing for food—grass, scraps, even banana peels if they were unlucky enough to be nearby.
Despite its size, a hog moved with surprising grace. Its steps were soft, almost bouncy, and when it ran, it was as swift as a horse. But when angered, a hog could crush a boulder with a single charge. The good thing was, it could be calmed down easily—with food. A handful of grain or fruit was enough to make it forget why it was mad in the first place.
