"Ahem! Is it my fault then?"
Kai shrugged his shoulders casually as he nodded his head instantly.
Coughing in embarrassment, Aylin asked shyly after a moment of pause, "Then… Umm, should I… prepare a warm bath for you?"
Kai's crimson eyes sparkled brightly as if a kid was offered his favorite candy. Without any second thought, he answered with a glimmering grin, "Will you?"
Aylin genuinely wanted to take care of Kai. That guy in front of him always protected her, directly and indirectly. She couldn't recall, doing anything for him except doubting and blaming him since the day she arrived in the Fintan as if she was lashing out all her frustration and anger at him.
Aylin's face creased into a sudden and arresting smile as she shook her head positively, still locked in Kai's embrace, "If you want then, of course, I will. After all.." Pausing, she looked up at Kai as she added in a shy and low whisper, "After all, I promised to be your maid. Surviving you must be my priority now."
