"Hahaha, I'm just stating the obvious," I shrugged while laughing. But even as I joked, my eyes were entirely focused on her face, tracing every subtle shift in her reaction.

She smiled—a sweet, genuine one that made my heart do a sudden, unexpected dance. I didn't know why I was this happy or this excited over something as simple as a meal on an ammunition box, but it was a good feeling, a light feeling that I had never truly experienced in all my years of struggling.

"Oh, having a party already without inviting us?"

Just before we could eat a single piece of meat in peace, that annoying, gravelly voice came out of the shadows to disturb the moment!

"Jumper… What the hell are you doing here?" I gave the dude a warning glare that should have been enough to set his hair on fire, but he seemed to totally ignore it. He stood there with a smug grin, leaning on one of his spears.

"Guys, guys! Come on over! Hye is having a party for our win!"
