I simply shrugged, my expression remaining neutral. Dude, don't tell me this was the 'fucking bad news' you were referring to, I thought. If that was the extent of it, then they were wasting my time. I had already calculated the existence of those subsidiary gates based on the illusionists' testimony.
"And?" I prompted, crossing my arms.
"They saw humans," Isabella added, her voice trembling slightly. "Vast numbers of them. They were being herded like cattle and forced through the rifts in the centre of the courtyards."
"I am already aware of the harvesting," I said, trying to steady their nerves. "The illusionists told me they were collecting sacrifices. It's a brutal reality, but one we already knew."
