"Elliana? What are you thinking about?" Nancy waved her hand in front of Elliana Lyle's eyes.
Elliana snapped back to reality, "Huh?" She shook her head and said, "Nothing, I just... spaced out."
Her explanation didn't seem strange to anyone, especially Aunt Nan, who chuckled and said, "Being pregnant makes you like that. When I was pregnant with Nancy, I could space out even while chopping vegetables."
"Is that so?" She smiled and turned off her phone screen.
Days here felt very long, but sometimes they seemed to pass too quickly.
