Due to his weak body Gabriel trailed a few steps behind Principal Nemaria with Yuki walking at his side as he wondered just what this main event that the principal had mentioned could be.
Unable to contain his curiosity any longer Gabriel made his choice and decided to ask the question that was plaguing his mind "You mentioned something about some sort of main event earlier I was hoping you'd be able to tell me what exactly that might be?" Gabriel asked hoping that Principal Nemaria would elaborate for him.
Principal Nemaria stopped when he heard Gabriel's question before turning to face him "Oh that's right it completely slipped my mind that you haven't been able to attend school since you're early awakening... aaah the curse of getting old" Principal Nemaria sighed with a look that was a mixture of regret and remorse.
Gabriel continued to stare at him waiting for him to carry on with his explanation "The main event I was talking about is something that all final year student's need to go through in order to allow them to graduate Green River Mountain Academy the Soul Beast Egg Hatching Ceremony" Principal Nemaria said finishing his explanation with a smile on his face.
The Soul Beast Egg Hatching Ceremony was were student's that were in their final year of school would be given a Soul Beast egg and given the opportunity to sign their very first Life-Contract as well as awaken their Martial Soul.
Since aspiring Beastmaster's yet awoken their Martial Soul which allowed them to use Mana which was the usual method of contracting Soul Beast's.
Instead the method they used was done by the contractee dropping their blood on the Soul Beast egg which would cause the Soul Beast egg to hatch.
Once the Soul Beast egg had completed the hatching process the newly born Soul Beast would then use it's inborn and latent soulpower to strengthen the soulpower of it's newly contracted master through the Life-Contract which would then allow them to awaken their Martial Soul and give them the ability to wield Mana.
This was something Gabriel hadn't managed to do even though he was lucky enough to awaken early and had successful signed his Life-Contract with his Soul Beast Yuki he was still unable to awaken his Martial Soul.
Throughout the seven year's that he was bedridden many top expert's had tried to find out the reason why but no matter who examined him they weren't able to figure out why Gabriel was unable to awaken his Martial Soul.
Gabriel couldn't figure out why Principal Nemaria was so happy about him joining Green River Mountain Academy considering that he already had his 1st Soul Beast partner.
Seeing his confusion Principal Nemaria decided to explain "Even though you already have your first Soul Beast partner I was hoping that if I allowed you to participate in the ceremony then it would allow the other students to see the correct way of hatching a Soul Beast egg so they'd be better prepared in the future that is only if you're okay with it?" Principal Nemaria asked hoping Gabriel would agree to his suggestion.
Gabriel though over the pros and cons of this he would have two Soul Beast partners giving him more of a head start than he already had over other's but it would also slow down the speed at which their cultivation progressed due to the sudden increase in resources he would need.
Just as Gabriel was about to turn him down Principal Nemaria spoke "Before you give me your answer I have already spoken to the other teacher's and we have agreed that if you agree to do this then not only will we provide you with resources for both your Soul Beast's but we can guarantee that the Soul Beast that will hatch from the egg will at least be of the Unique grade" Principal Nemaria explained addressing Gabriel's main concern.
Hearing the thing's he would recieve if he agreed to participate in the Soul Beast Egg Hatching Ceremony made Gabriel look towards Yuki who had been standing beside him this whole time.
Throughout the coversation she had been sending him a constant flow of happy emotions through the bond she and Gabriel shared showing how happy she was with the prospect of getting a younger sibling.
Yuki: Yip Kyuu Yip (I'm going to be a big sister) (^ω^)
From the reaction Yuki gave him Gabriel resigned himself to having no other choice "Okay I'll agree to participate in the event but only if I have some proof of our deal" Gabriel said which caused Yuki to stop her celebrating and nod her head showing her agreement with what Gabriel said.

When Principal Nemaria heard Gabriel's answer a frown appeared on his face "Do you think that we'd go back on our deal once you've completed the ceremony I am the Principal of this academy if I say the sky is red who in the academy would dare to refute me" Principal Nemaria said with an angry tone not too happy with Gabriel's lack of trust in him and the academy.
Gabriel shook his head "It's not that I don't trust you or the school Principal Nemaria it's just that my parent's have taught me to always have physical proof of any deal that I make just in case any problem's should arise" Gabriel explained not wanting Principal Nemaria to misunderstand why he was doing such a thing.
When Principal Nemaria heard his reason he remembered just who Gabriel's parent's were and the rumours about how the Velian family went about raising their children which caused the frown on his face to disappear.
Haah.
The Principal shook his head before he released a sigh "You really are a Velian I had this drawn up just on the off chance that something like this were to happen but I was really hoping that I wouldn't need to use it" Principal Nemaria said as he pulled a Aix-orb that projected a contract in front of him.
The Aix-orb was one of the few pieces of ancient technology that Human's managed to recover from the Ancient Era.
It took nearly a thousand year's of constant research before people managed to discover how to use them.
Even with all their research they only managed to learn how they operated from some translated ancient document's from the same era.
The contract stated that signee 1 which was Gabriel would participate in the Soul Beast Egg Hatching Ceremony in exchange signee 2 which was the academy would provide signee 1 with 1 Soul Beast egg that was at least of Unique Grade as well as any and all rescoures required for it and the signee's other Soul Beast Yuki the aforementioned item's will only be granted when signee 1 upholds their side of the contract. Any attempts at either signee not upholding their side of the contract will be subjected to a penalty decided by the other signee.
Gabriel immediately read through the contract that was projected by the Aix-orb a few time's and seeing as he couldn't see any problem's with it all that was left was for him to do was sign his name.
Once he was satisfied with the contract Gabriel proceeded to use his finger to sign his name and when he had finished the projection disappeared along with the Aix-orb.
"Great, seeing as you now have what you need let's head to the training grounds it's were we decided to hold the Soul Beast Egg Hatching Ceremony this year due to some issue's last year" Principal Nemaria said before he started walking away.
Gabriel looked at his retreating figure for a few seconds before he looked at Yuki "Let's get going shall we" Gabriel said as Yuki voice her agreement as they followed after Principal Nemaria.
