(3rd Person: POV)
After making sure Jameson was gone Gwen and Peter turned their attention back to Gargan.
Who had finally stopped trying to break free of the adhesive webbing Gwen had used to entrap him a few minutes ago.
"Looks like you finally calmed down." Peter spoke.
As he and Gwen walked in front of Gargan.
Only to become alarmed when they noticed him grimacing in pain.
"What's wrong?" Gwen immediately asked.
"My body....feels like it's on fire and being...torn apart at the same time!" Gargan shouted. "What's happening?!" He cried out on agony.
"Your mutated physiology is further altering itself." Peter quickly explained.
"No!!!" Gargan cried out. "H....help me...please." he begged.
"Of course. We weren't thinking of doing anything else." Gwen spoke.
Peter nodding his head in agreement.
He then stepped away for a moment.
"Spinner, call the bald pirate for me." Peter asked over his suits comms.
"Of course." Spinner replied.
He then dialed the phone Peter had given to Nick Fury and SHIELD about two weeks ago.
The call connecting only after one ring.
"What?" Fury asked, from the other end of the line.
"Oh, don't sound so glum. Aren't you glad to hear from me Fury old buddy, old chum?" Peter happily asked while rhyming.
"You know I'm a busy man. So get to the point of this call already spider." Fury replied.
"Okay, okay." Peter replied. "Thing is I've got a bit of a situation here that I need SHIELD help to deal with. Got a man here who was suckered into undergoing a procedure that spliced his DNA with that of a Scorpion, which is still altering itself even as we speak. And I need SHIELD assistance in locating and capturing the the good doctor who performed this illegal procedure. So I can use his knowledge the reverse the effects and save this man's life." He quickly explained.
"...Understood. What's the doctors name?" Fury asked.
"Just like that?" Peter asked suspiciously.
"Yeah. Just like that." Fury replied. "And are you really questioning me right now? I thought you were on a timetable?"
"I am. But I would have to be foolish to rush blindly into a situation simply because I'm on a bit of a clock." Peter replied.
"Smart notion. Maybe we'll make a SHIELD agent of of you yet."
"Who knows." Peter vaguely replied. "Also the doctor name is Farley Stillwell." He spoke.
Peter then had Spinner send Nick everything he had on the man, as well as asked for the the ground assistance with Scorpion.
Once Peter did less than twenty minutes later several SHIELD agents, along with one of the agencies quinjets, showed up stop the roof where he, Gwen, and Gargan were located.
When they did a blonde and blue eyed male agent walked up to them.
"Spider-Man, Ghost-Spider, ncie you meet you both. I'm special agent Clay Quartermain. Senior SHIELD agent here in New York and your point of contact for this operation." The man explained.
(A/N: Yeah, I'm pulling in Clay Quartermain. Since after Avengers: EMH he got no love. Even though he was basically a top agent in the show. So I'm bringing him back in this fic. Honestly surprised he never appeared in the MCU)
"Nice to meet you agent." I replied. Giving Quartermain a mock salute.
"Yep, same." Gwen replied.
Once we did we got the show on the road.
Working with the SHIELD agents present we loaded Gargan onto a transport and moved him to a secure facility.
Where a bunch of SHIELD scientists and other personnel were waiting.
Who then along with Gwen and I began examining Gargan and working to mitigate his symptoms.
Until about an hour later when Quartermain informed us he has located Stillwell and his laboratory.
So with that I stopped what I was doing and headed out with Quartermain and a few other agents to apprehend Stillwell.
Gwen having chosen to remain behind to keep an eye on Gargan, and continue working on helping him in case Stillwell turned out to be a dead end.
But lucky for us he wasn't.
As when we busted into his lab, like the Kool-Aid man burst through walls, and took him down, we learned the man already had the basics of a cure for Gargan condition.
So with a bit of extra work the Scorpion was back to normal by the end of the day.
Gwen and I making sure he was about of SHIELD custody, and safely back with his fiancee, before going home for the night.
But not before we tasked some of the Spider-Bots to keep watch over the couple.
Given that people might try and go after Gargan because of what he'd been through.
But other than that, today was a good day.

[May 8th, 2011]
A stupid grin on my face I walked with Ned, Liz, and Felicia, the four of us eventually arriving at our destination.
Oscorp Industries.
Where both Harry and Gwen were waiting outside to greet us.
"Morning ladies and gents." Harry spoke.
We then all greeted him in return.
Once we did we followed the two of them inside until we arrived in a large room with tons of equipment set up.
Along with two people occupying it.
Dr. Otto Octavious and his lovely wife, Rosalie Octavious.

The two reasons we all were here at Oscorp Industries today.
Since Harry had arranged for us to meet the Octavious couple before they had their live presentation for their sustainable power fusion reactor in the next few days.
The moment we entered the room they turned their gazes in our direction.
"Ah, good morning young Harry." Otto spoke. "You as well young Gwendolyn. And I take it these are the young friends you wanted us to meet."
"Yes Dr. Octavious. They are." Harry replied.
"Well then nice to meet you all. My name is Otto Octavious." He introduced. "And this lovely woman right here next to meet is my assistant and lovely wife Rosalie."
"Nice to meet you all." Rosalie spoke.
"Likewise." I replied.
The others following along.
Once they did I walked up to Dr. Octavious. "Dr. Octavious, Peter Parker, big fan of your work. Truly it's an honor to meet you." I said.
Allowing my inner fanboy to come out.
Both due to my current life and past life.
Since the Otto Octavious standing in front of me is one of the best version of the man Marvel comics has ever created.
At least in my opinion.
"Yes. Mr. Parker. Ms. Stacy and young Harry have spoken highly of you. And I must say their praises were not biased." He spoke. "I mean that medi-gel you created is certainly working wonders in the medical field."
"You looked me up?" I asked.
"Of course." Otto replied. "Since it's quite rare to meet a young man like yourself. One who seems to understand intelligence is not a gift but a privilege that should be shared with the rest of the world and used for the betterment of mankind." He explained.
"Oh, Otto. You only just met these children. Don't overwhelm them with your philosophy just yet. At least wait an hour." Rosalie spoke.
"Very well my dear. Anything for you." Otto replied.
Showcasing just how much love the Octavious couple truly has for each other.
So again, neither of them will follow their fates from the film on my watch.
"Excuse me." Felicia spoke up. "Not to be rude, but what exactly is a sustainable fusion reactor?"
"To put simply it's basically the sun." Harry spoke.
"Woah! Dr. Octavious, you're creating your own sun?!" Ned questioned.
"As Mr. Osborn just pointed out in simple terms yes, but also no." Otto replied.
"Dr. Octavious is right. For his project is so much more complicated than that." Gwen spoke. "For with its success everything we know about energy and physics will change forever."
"Yep. And it'll even put Dr. Octavious name on the same level as Tony Stark in the clean energy business." I said.
"All true, all true." Otto agreed. "But honestly the most important thing to me is the science. I mean, to hold the power of the sun, in the palm of your hand. How many people will be able to say they've done that?"
"Until you do, none." Liz spoke.
At least here on Earth.
But in the greater galaxy...not so much.
Anyway.
All of us chatted with doctor Octavious for a bit longer before everyone but Harry and Gwen returned home.
Then a few more days passed.
Leading not only to final exams, and the start of summer break, but also to the day of the Octavious couple presentation.
