Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1 — The Crippled God Wakes

I woke to darkness.

Not the gentle kind that comes with sleep, but the suffocating, heavy void that presses against your lungs as if the world itself is trying to crush you. My chest burned. My throat tasted like metal. And when I tried to breathe in, it felt like knives were being dragged through my ribs.

Then the memories hit me.

Not mine.

Nagato's.

A lifetime of pain, war, betrayal… Yahiko's death… Konan's tears… the birth of the Akatsuki… every technique, every sorrow, every secret he ever kept. They slammed into me so violently I nearly blacked out again.

I wasn't in my body.I was in his.

I opened my eyes.

Cold stone walls. The hum of hidden seals. A faint, rhythmic vibration echoing through the floor. I recognized this place even before I saw the pipes, the shadows, the iron supports carved into the rock.

The Akatsuki Hideout.

Except… something was wrong.

It wasn't supposed to be here. Not in this universe. Not in DC. And not like this—isolated, silent, empty.

I shifted, instinctively trying to sit up——and agony stabbed down my spine as my useless legs twitched lifelessly.

A shuddering breath escaped me.

"Right," I whispered. My voice was dry, hoarse, unfamiliar. "Nagato… had no legs. And his body is… dying."

I lowered my head. My arms were thin, skeletal. My skin pale to the point of translucence. Tubes connected my body to a life-support frame built into the wheelchair—his wheelchair. Chakra circulated weakly, cracked and unstable, like a flame about to go out.

I tried to channel power into my palms.

A spark.A flicker of orange chakra light.

Then nothing. My body immediately seized with pain.

I let out a slow breath.

So this is what it felt like to be a god held together by scraps of life.

And then—

A soft bell chimed inside my head.

Ding.

A glowing blue panel formed directly in my vision.

I stared, breath caught in my throat.

A system.A shop.A path to power.A way out of this dying shell.

But I had nothing.

Zero points.

Another notification appeared, almost apologetically.

[You are currently alone in the Akatsuki hideout.][The hideout has been transferred into the DC Universe alongside you.][It is completely hidden from all forms of detection.]

I exhaled.

So I wasn't just reborn…I brought a piece of another world with me.

A dangerous piece.

A smile, thin and sharp, tugged at the corner of my lips.

"If I want to stand again… if I want to breathe without pain… if I want the world to know the name Akatsuki…"

I looked down at my frail limbs.

"…then I need Reputation."

My fingers trembled as I gripped the wheelchair arm.

"First step," I whispered to myself, "is survival."

A plan began to form immediately—Nagato's strategic mind merging with my own. In the DC world, gods existed. Monsters existed. Metahumans, demons, tyrants, heroes. All ripe for manipulation.

But for now, I couldn't even stand.

I needed reconnaissance.Information.Targets.A way to reveal the Akatsuki's shadow to this new world.

And—most urgently—food, water, and chakra stabilization. My body wouldn't last long without maintenance.

I forced my hand to lift toward the control panel attached to the wheelchair. It accepted my chakra signature and the hideout's systems hummed to life—lights flickering softly overhead.

Screens illuminated.Doors unlocked with a hiss.Storage vaults opened deep within the mountain.

I finally felt a spark of control.

A spark of power.

"This world has no idea what's coming," I whispered coldly. "But soon… they will learn the name of Pain."

Ding.

A new message flashed.

[Quest Generated: "Announce Yourself."]

Objective:Reveal the existence of the Akatsuki to the DC world.Cause a small-scale incident that draws attention.

Reward:+100 RP+Basic Body Restoration (Partial Healing)

I grinned, weak but determined.

Even crippled…Even dying…

I remembered what Nagato once said:

"We are God's angels of vengeance."

And now, I would carve my name into this world.

One reputation point at a time.
